Fast and Furious present: Hobbs & Shaw - Should be a best picture nominee

I saw the trailer and it looked awful, are there any torrents for it yet or is it still being screened in the cinema?

FnF Really stopped being the way it was after Tokyo Drift, While Universal honestly ruined the franchise by turning it into an action movie, i can't blame them for changing it... you can't make ricer movies forever.

As for if i'm gonna see it or not... Maybe, i'm not sure.
I've only really Slightly Cared about it through the Brisk Promotion.

It really has little to no attachment to the FnF main series, save for maybe the whole “family” angle. But it involves there actually estranged families, so...

Personally I find a sense of charm in the Main 3, although the newer ones do have their Moments as well, Especially that one scene where Brian and Dom Part ways.
...but FnF Needs a Reboot, like Badly. Not with the Ricer angle but rather with a Main focus on Tuner Culture so far, there's tons to do nowadays because of our Vehicles being modded more, they had the Material to keep FnF Up to date with the latest Tuning trends, it's just that Universal felt like turning it into yet another generic Action Movie franchise.

It was a fun watch. It felt closer to an MCU movie at times though given this new direction.

First film was niche. It was a movie about cars and super serial drama surrounding cars.

2nd was an all out action film.

3 was about drifting in exotic locations.

4 went back the 2 route and it has been 2 ever since.

They will never go back to super serial. Action sells so they will keep doing the 2nd film over and over again.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

4 put the series back on the map and in a good direction, as long as I have my stupid action, I dont care.

This made me lol

If alpha-ness is to be compared, The Rock easily has it over Diesel. Dwayne actually played top tier college football and took real punishment in the WWE. Diesel had a turn as a dancer, LOL. That said, FnF being one of Diesel’s only claims for relevance in Hollywood nowadays (the other just saying groot over and over), I don’t blame him for being overprotective of his alpha status in the series, though he probably should’ve known that Johnson easily has the charm over him when he considered casting him in the series.

It knew what it was and didn't try to push any stupid messages. 10/10.
Which is precisely why I think it's a brilliant movie. Haven't watched it yet, but considering how the Fast and Furious franchise morphed from illegal street racing, to bank heists, to spin-offs with batshit insane plotlines, they are one of the last bastions of "kinda-sorta old school" action movies of this time.

Which we need more of really. All these big brain critics want a thinking mans movie, I just want to see car chases and things blow up.

Some of the reviews on the movie's Letterboxd page are hilarious - it's like they would consider it "kino of the year" only if the exact same movie was about 2 superheroes. Capeshit ruined a whole generation, clearly.

I dunno, I enjoy a good capeshit, and I think if this was a super hero movie it would have been 30% or lower on Rotten Tomatoes

Thoughts:
1. How did Jason Statham and his sister grow up together when he’s clearly twenty years older than her? This movie must take place post Thanos snap.
2. There were several scenes where if something random just exploded Spongebob style I wouldn’t have been surprised.
3. “Black Superman.”
4. I expected the villain to die via having his organs liquified by the virus and getting set on fire and I was very sad when that didn’t happen.
5. No organs were liquified in general.
6. Ryan Reynolds was there for no other reason than to have people go “oh hey shit look it’s Ryan Reynolds” and that’s okay.
7. Like all FnF movies I will forget it entirely by next week and that’s okay.
8. I was not bored.
All of you should watch it.

1. In Movie World, women age less then men.
2. I am surprised there were so little explosions during the car chase.
3.”Here comes the Kryptonite”
4.Given the nature of the virus, expected but still a shame.
5. Maybe we’ll see the skin melting in the sequel.
6. Between him and Air Marshal Kevin Hart, the seem to be setting up the new team. I personally enjoyed the little doctor guy that went crazy with the flamethrower before getting his neck snapped. He was fun.
7. Fuck you, I’ll always remember that bike.
8.Definitely not bored
I had fun.
