Yes, I remember the Garriott one. I think general consensus was that he had bought some old and outdated list of people to hit up for donations because Garriott's number was no longer in use or a complete dead end for some other reason.
Makes me wonder if any of the SF/silicon valley women he tweets at and "wanting to connect" are people found on that list that he couldn't reach by phone.
