These people don’t realize that the reason the 2nd amendment exists is to keep people like them from having too much power and rolling over people. That one of the primary reasons the constitution was written like it was was to keep people like them from ever having so much power again.

It’s obvious really that what the Left wants is to oversee a return of the divine right of kings. They seem to believe that they can install an all-powerful ruler, who will remain eternally benevolent and never abuse their powers.

This is due to the fact that they cannot learn from history, and believe that people are inherently good, with evil being something that is forced on them from outside, and not in anyway a choice people make.
