Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

It's amazing the completely obvious things people will deny just to be in opposition to whatever Trump says.

From the Washington Compost: Trump says cities are ‘a mess.’ They’re actually enjoying a golden age. Golden age? Yeah right.

Surprise, surprise, of course Reddit agrees. [1,2]

"Golden Age" Detroit used to be called the Paris of the West, at one point. That was the golden age.

Personally I'm waiting for the "Americans overwhelmingly want gun control! The polls agree and they say Trump is responsible and unpopular too!" stories to come out.
We should get them in a day or two.
The echo camber must be preserved after all.
Even if all that does is set themselves up for even greater disappointment down the road.

"Trump wants to change the rules and be president forever! How evil!"

"Someday when we have power we're going to change the rules so Obama can rule forever. This is an objective good."

This also goes as far as back as Bill Clinton. Clinton most definitely would have gotten a third term had he been able to and Hillary's entire political career is based upon the idea of a "Clinton Restoration" scenario of using Hillary as a willing pawn to get Bill Clinton an unofficial third and fourth term.

Also for irony/what if scenarios: the Republicans expressly pushed for and got Presidential term limit, because of butt-hurt over FDR getting four terms. Then promptly got fucked over because it meant Eisenhower could only serve two terms. Had they not done that, Eisenhower could have matched FDR's number of terms (if not gotten a fifth term and more) and the entire history of the world changed as a result.

If Eisenhower did a third term, would he have been victim of what some people refer as the Curse of Tippecanoe (also known as Tecumseh's Curse or the 20 Year Presidential Curse)? If he was, Nixon would had been president more earlier. On the other hand, had FDR did only 2 terms, somone else who had deal with WWII and FDR might have lived longer avoiding the stress of WWII on his health, however not as long as Vice-President John Nance Garner who lived up to 98 years old.

The President said it isn’t guns that are the problem, it’s mental illness.

And this, did arrive a new wave of salt, more intense than any seen before it.
The reason it got so much salt is because:
  1. It’s Trump, and people with chronic TDS will go against anything he says
  2. It doesn’t fit the “more gun control” narrative
  3. It considers the culture and upbringing rather than the gun itself (some people don’t want lasting change and want a quick “fix”, hence #2)

Glad he pointed this out. Mental healthcare is atrocious in this country. It'd definitely change things around with the shootings if it got a boost in funding.
Side effect, better mental healthcare means less crazy bums roaming around in cities like SF, Portland, and Seattle. Or course, the coastal elite might consider that a negative not a positive. It means less funding for homeless programs they can skim off of.

Like he’ll listen to you bitches.

The thing also is that regarding if there’s a high school shooting, they’ll never be any effort to focus on improving administration that would not allow shootings to happen.

If you ban guns, crazy people will use bombs or trucks.

Trump does care about people, though. I hope he becomes the president who actually does something about this besides crying on camera.
Case and point, the recent incident that happened with Kyoto Animation a while ago. The guy that did that attack only used gasoline to kill 35 people and there was no gun used in that massacre.

If a crazy guy is going to go on a rampage for whatever reason then they will find a way.

When you ban guns, you end up like CA and Commiefornia where the criminals have guns and no one else does.

That sounds like some fanfic tier there unless it was added into the 'extended edition' endgame that released because that was no where in the movie I saw.

There was a quick reference to it IIRC. I think Thanos said something in response to Nebula or Dr Strange said (about it wouldn't change the fact Thanos is killed).

I thought the bigger plot hole was Thanos summoning his army, or Asgardians - whatever survived the explosion of their home planet and Thanos killing everyone on the ship they were on, now doing fishing village shit - show up in full futuretech battle armor - and more than like 12 of them.
But that's overthinking capeshit.

Here's the transcript:
