They eat their own. They will use him to propagate kickvic and then turn on him as soon as his usefulness dwindles.

Sabat is a fool if he thinks they wont hold him underwater to stay afloat as this goes on.

Edit: my money is Marzgurl being the first to strike at him.

Sabat has stayed pretty quiet on the whole thing. I'm pretty sure nick knows ALL of his dirt and just gave out that little teaser for shits and giggles.

Quiet publicly. But I have no doubt he's wheeling and dealing his influence to help generate these affidavits and con cancellations. But these days nothing stays secret for long and Im sure if he gets name dropped in a way that looks bad for the defense those crosshairs will be quick to look for him.

Oh God what a blatant attempt to try to make him out a public figure. Why is that so important? Why is that one of the deciding factor for this case

I just love how the author is trying to talk about weeb stuff as if anyone knows what the hell she's talking about, while demonstrating an awkward handle of what she's even writing herself. Like, screw me, she doesn't establish what Dragon Ball is before discussing how Broly is a fan-favorite, she puts Broly in quotes for some strange reason, he voiced Broly in a Dragon Ball Super installment, she didn't even bother to demonstrate how Vic is supposed to be a voice to be reckoned with because of her anemic discussion on Broly, and it's so clear that she's trying to meet a word quota, with such poignant phrases like "It looked like 2019 would be another can't-miss year for the actor"-- what does that even mean? What does that even mean?

It's like she's doing a boxing match hype up in the most "how do you do fellow kids" way. She knows she has no business writing this report. When she finished writing it, she probably was still asking herself "what the hell is a Broly?" At the back of my mind, I wonder if she was writing this paper at gunpoint.

If they were confident that he was a public figure, they wouldn’t be doing this.

There’s no other rational reason they’d be doing this.

It's business as usual for #killvic. For some reason, they're not concerned about the money sink that is this lawsuit, but are still trying to get this man to croak.

This is pretty typical for newspaper writing in 2019. Even in major markets, they tend to have a skeleton crew doing all of the writing that doesn't come direct from wire services or republications. Most of them are writing about 20 different topics, most of which they know nothing about. All for a wage that's about equivalent to a management position in a retail store.

So yeah. You have someone with a human interest story pretty much pre-written for you, complete with opportunities for shout-outs to #MeToo, and it's an easy sell. Doesn't really matter if you have no idea what you're talking about, if you've fact-checked the story, or even if you can really write all that well. They get the column-inches and she gets a by-line.

The newspaper biz is really sad nowadays, and it's tragic byproduct is dross like this.

Which in itself is funny because Vic has not seen their actions/comments extensively (as shown on the depos via his surprise). It seems Vic's just trying to live through this the best he can, one day at a time.

Sabat supposedly blacklisted female VAs that wouldn't sleep with him. He knows he's a ticking time bomb and that dirty laundry is going to see the sunlight come round 2.

This was a reply 5 years ago about Vic rumors

Scum, all of them are scum. This is why I have trust issues

That will come out whether Vic wins or loses. Either it will come out in the lawsuit just through discovery or when Sabat is personally sued, or else, if somehow Vic loses, he's what's for dinner. It will be open season on Funimation and all its skeletons will come out of the closet and dance around on its lawn.

These people are going to be nailed to a fuckin' cross...

These people would rather continue to defame a man even while they are being sued for defamation.
These people would rather burn hundreds of thousands of dollars of their own money than ever back down!
These people would rather lose everything they have than ever admit that they lied to a few hundred thousand people AT LEAST.

It's so predictable that all Ty can do is shrug and say: "Just like I told you, your honor." as Judge Chupp slams his fucking head against his desk repeatedly.

I have said it once and I'll say it again- The longer this goes on, the WORSE it will get for #KickVic.
Look at it like this: What the fuck are these people supposed to say when Monica, Ron, and Jamie LOSE in a Court of Law?

All of these people desperately trying to convince everyone that Vic is this "Massive Predator"...? At best, they were just proven to be ignorant fuckheads and liars- at worst, they just became targets for Round 2 thanks to their ENDLESS defamation of Vic.

We all know Vic's going to win this, we've all seen that TCPA, there's no chance IN HELL it's going to pass. You determined mother fuckers have dug up enough evidence to bury these lying cunts alive, not to mention all the endless fuck-ups that Defendants have had in countless frivolous filings.
Amen! I pray the defendants and all of those sucking the defendant's assholes end up destitute for the evil shit they've pulled and continue to pull. No mercy for these fuck heads, no sympathy, and no fucking remorse. I will wear the biggest grin if/when these faggots get what's coming to them in the court of law.

I guess at the very least we get to see which people consume shit without questioning things. Looks like this might turn into another wave of VAs coming out and giving their stories on what a 'terrible' person vic is.

At this point, I just mark the tweet as irrelevant to my feed. Perhaps I need to stop following certain people as well as this came up as a recommendation because I follow some other people that follow this guy.

Starting to notice a pattern here. All the worst exceptionals use initials in their names. J Sean, J Michael, T Greg Whats up with that?

Daman Mills, Josh Martin, Chris Rager, Tatum, etc, were known quantities. I'm surprised with Briana Palencia and Brittney Karbowski

It's a good time to remember that everyone that retweets these snakes may be doing it out of fear for their jobs.

So when Monica et al try to come out and declare that Vic somehow had all of this massive vice-grip control over an entire industry... take a moment.

Take a moment to pause and notice that Monica and Jamie are single-handedly holding the balls of an entire group of voice-actors hostage when they are clearly in the wrong.

But yeah, let's keep up the fable that Vic had all the "power".
Exactly what I was going to point out. Vic had a hold over the entire anime industry...all the power was in his hands. It's always been bullshit.

Let's talk about the piece of shit hypocrite J Michael Tatum. Keep in mind he also liked this tweet early on:

View attachment 875384

Here he is kissing Ian Sinclair at Anime Detour 2013. For context, Ian agreed to do a kiss for a charity auction but his body language speaks for itself.

Tatum talking about humping a microphone stand during recording (per Ian's direction because Funimation is professional), and then when he's asked to show the audience he says "I will show you but Ian has to be the microphone stand" and proceeds to pretend to hump the back of Ian's head.

Talking about recording "awful sexual things" for Todd Haberkorn to hear when he comes in to record and how "it worked" because Todd avoided afterwards. Tatum has said many times in panels that he has a crush on Todd and called him his "backup husband". Also in this video Tatum says the worst "bomb" another VA has left for him has to be told in an 18+ panel.

Following a skit with Vic and Fat Marchi where Vic spilled some water on Tatum, at 7:15 Tatum jokes "Vic Mignogna made me wet" causing Vic to almost spit mid-sip.

Talking about taking his pants off at the Funi studio and recording in his underwear "to mess with Ian"

There are more videos out there of Tatum making sexual jokes to colleagues and fans while on panels if you search him on youtube and can stomach listening to him long enough to find them. But kissing a fan on the cheek for a picture is "wrong and unprofessional".
Vic spills water on him...he makes a joke (sexual or not) and everyone laughs. Vic eats a jellybean that Monica signs and makes a joke (sexual or note) and everyone cries rape. Guess it's cause J Michael is gay and only wants dick? Dammit Vic you should've #metoo'd that POS when he raped you with that joke

And....did douchebag seriously....seriously say OMG GUYS...GUIZE....OMG...OMG....GUYS GUESS WHAT like a preteen girl that just started her first period? Did he get bit by a mosquito too?

According to Nick, Vic moved to be closer to Funi for work. I think many VAs were worried about him getting even more work and more recognition in the Texas area and that just couldn't be.

Jamie: what can we do to get rid of this fucking guy
Monica: want me to eat him?
Ron: honey, honey we talked about this. Your mouth is only allowed to be on...
Monica: stfu Ron
Jamie: can you believe that piece of shit ran his fingers through my hair one time like 10 years ago. fuck him
Monica: OMG he did that to me too except different. i went to his hotel room to get boned but that asshole Stan interrupted so I didn't get any :(
Jamie: hmmm these two stories together sound very rapey!
Ron: honey, honey, do you need me to get out my sheepdog costume and go....
Monica: stfu ron
Jamie: lets get him huuuuun
"Wondertwins power activate. Form of....FAT PIGS! Shape of....ummmm FAT PIGS!"

Amen! I pray the defendants and all of those sucking the defendant's assholes end up destitute for the evil shit they've pulled and continue to pull. Well, if you think about it, we win either way. If Vic wins, they are toast. If they keep winning cases like this and getting their way in western civ overall, then they will have to live in a real world road warrior scenario when said western civ collapses. Betcha they don't do well.

Has Haberkorn done anything for Funimation since this shit happened? All he seems to have done is voice-overs for video games since this.
He is still regularly narrating for Watchmojo anime videos.

Edit: cougar'd

All they're doing is adding consequential damages to the ultimate verdict and vastly increasing the minimum amount the plaintiff will even consider in settlement.
I’m still confused as to why Funimation followed the journalist seemingly right as or before the piece dropped. That’s can’t make settlement attempts anything other than more punishing. They’re the party that’s really in play. Any discovery they turn over either by court order or as part of the settlement will be used for what comes after this, and there’s certainly more with how deep this has already sunk. As someone else said earlier, who in the fuck is operating their social media accounts?

I still can't believe people believed that. Vic lived two timezones away from these people and had played nothing but small characters in funi projects for nearly a decade, how does he have any leverage over someone like sabat? He's not even the biggest name to come out of Funimation, Troy Baker is and by a significant margin.
