The fact this made front page while there was a massive shooting tells me there wasn't any news in Dallas that day.

Make no mistake, this was a paid political ad, and I'm not talking about Ted Cruz.

Lemoine had either doled out some $$$ or he pulled every last favor he had with the newspaper to make it happen. If it weren't for the shooting, I'm sure it'd have been every image on the front page of that paper

It's below the fold sitting on a rack, that isn't prime placement. No one even saw it unless they already bought it to read about the shooting. It's still embarrassing that this is deigned front page worthy on a shitty rag in a major metropolitan area. But that's because of the harpy they handed their story too, more so than the validity of the story.

Next question, did they print the version with quotes they falsely attributed to Nick Rakieta or did they physically print the corrected version?
You can keep calling it a rag, but it is the biggest Newspaper for this area.

Regardless of perception here on KF it is not perceived poorly by it’s intended audience, and unfortunately for Vic, it is a fairly sizable one.

If you lived in DFW this would be the go-to paper.

Also, I didn’t bother to check which version, but I believe the text should all be legible from the image.

Is that rag at all important in Dallas, Texas? I honestly don't know. I live in a nearby state (that has less monies), so I'd be surprised if anyone gave a fuck what some rag says.

Mosquito man is pulling out all the stops. Seriously, did Nick and all the memes trigger him?

Just noticed this post. Fair enough. I'd just be surprised if Texans pay attention to such crap when hypothetically they should be leagues ahead of my redneck ass.

Isn't Vic already at the 75k+ for damages cap right now? Is there a dollar amount being thrown around that is known?

One of the defenses complaints was not including a dollar amount of damages, so one of the amendments to Vic's complaint includes a dollar amounts. He's seeking between one and five million dollars of damages.

The $75k is just for "diversity jurisdiction" for federal court, but since everyone involved is in Texas they're suing in state court instead.

It just depends on the person.

Do you put stock on Newspapers, of any kind? If you answered no, then it was never really meant for you and won’t affect your opinion, or anyone who shares it.

But for people who still read the newspaper and consume MSM it has a decent reputation. This is not the National inquirer, it’s more like the NYT of the Dallas area.

Especially now with their properties tied to a spree shooters social media.
1. Which property are we talking about? 2. Why do I feel there's a chance we're going to see a reboot of RWBY?
EVS has been dropping hints for some time now that licensing for Marvel/DC IP is coming. Generally he's cryptic about the details, as he is with comments he gets from his former associates in mainstream comics, but if anyone would be in a position to know the mess DC is in, it's him.
Their movies sren't hitting, the DCEU was doomed from the start due to Marvel envy and rumors of a "no jokes" policy, and their comics may be at death's doorstep. At least they have the Arrowverse.
Where’s the logic in this? Niosi admitted to being a creep and bragging about his role in Fire Emblem whereas Vic was accused. Yet somehow Niosi has the moral high ground?
He's doing what they want Vic to do and "get help". If they're still to start their purge, this may be another front for that.
They should add a pic of Douchette when they report about the Dayton shooting. They won't of course. Are all big cities in Texas in the process of becoming Leftie havens?
Austin already is. Not sure about the rest.
Think of it this way. Beto had the support of Hollywood and the media. Spent millions on his campaign, and STILL lost to Ted Cruz. Texas is red as the day is long.

Doesn't help that the left found its new Hillary darling in AOC.

True enough. I mean, my local paper isn't perfect, but it is kinda the NYT of the area, and I trust it well enough. But then I don't remember it doing a blatant hit piece, so I just kinda thought this Dallas one was more a tabloid.

The DMN is part of Belo which also owns WFAA (Channel 8 ) and is a known left leaning, corrupt mayor /city council supporting fire and police hating shit pile. Any one of the other 3 channels (4, 5 and 11) beat them out every time. No, it's not well circulated or considered "important " and it loses relevancy every day.

Dallas proper has a high concentration of liberalism in its Southern half but its Northern half is clinging to a redder state of mind. Suburbs are generally blood red as is Dallas' sister city Fort Worth.

Flower Mound, believe it or not is largely conservative. That said, the insidious infection by liberal protozoa seems to be on the rise. May take secession to remove the STDs from this Californication.

FWIW, Ted almost lost to Beto. It was a dead heat until they got further out from Houston, Dallas and Austin on the poll returns. God save the republic!

It is the second most circulated paper in Texas, and first most for the area. It’s fine if you don’t like it, but you’re simply wrong if you think it “isn’t well circulated”.

FWIW...

When I left my job as a newspaper Journo TEN YEARS AGO (at a tri-state regional paper), our readership had fallen off a cliff because people were getting the bulk of their news online. Thats before smartphones made their impact. In the time since, many newspapers have shut down and EVERY newspaper has taken massive hits in their readership and circ numbers.

What that means is that their power to persuade and influence is a fraction of what it once was. And thats without even considering the recent 'fake news' thing and the credibility destruction that brought down on traditional media outlets.

Newspapers in 2019 are 'go to' for older folks that never got on the computer/smartphone train, libraries and doctor's offices. They do the job that a Sunday insert used to do because there is nothing current about day old news, which is what constitutes the bulk of a daily paper. Not when the web exists.

Right, which is why I pointed out already that it depends if you trust Newspapers at all. Despite the decline there is still a sizable audience, it’s just smaller than before. This was also published (first) on their online platform.

I’m not telling people what to make of Dallas Morning News, I’m telling people the reality of its reach in its market.

I keep hearing that the El Paso shooter followed and interacted regularly with douchette. Can we confirm this?

The only shooter I know that followed The Douche was the Dayton shooter. He also followed PopeHat.
Thank @TLS for posting this in The Douche's thread and thank GamerGator (the same one from @theralph retort) for digging this up:

EDIT: cougar'd, but provided links.

I'll never understand this shit. Your business is already failing and you decide to insult your loyal fans/buyers who've stuck with you through thick&thin.
It's easy to understand in the proper context. For example...What leftist based group has ever stood by their supporters when their grasp on power fell away?

RT/Funi and pretty much all the entertainment industry is controlled by their ideologies first and foremost. Loyalty is never reciprocated and never has been by that/those ideologies. They believe in "What have you done for me TODAY?"
