What would signing those things do? Give an own for your side?
It's to cause emotional damage to Vic, to HURT him by having to see any of these. It's an act of "kicking you when you are already down" It's a pretty disgusting and deplorable act. It's basically a type of "feeding off another's suffering." type of thing like in the most cruel of ways. Another phrase is "twisting the knife"

Is he really pre-blaming Vic's lawsuit for Funimation shuttering it's doors? :story:

Oh Mike, surely it has nothing at all to do with a corrupt set of executives getting their dirty laundry splayed out in the open by a set of back-stabbing VAs who clearly only care about themselves!

Surely it has everything to do with Vic, who hasn't said a solitary bad word publicly about Funimation, not Marchi and co who have GONE ON RECORD giving damaging statements about how incompetent and dangerous your management is :story:

This is kind of fucked up. I mean yeah there are those two spergs a while back on the ISWV side(allegedly), but just goes to show kickvic has no shame.
I'm shocked to learn that people who in other circumstances would not be able to shut the fuck up about "punching down" are suddenly interested in doing exactly that.

Correct me if I am completely mis-remembering, but when we had the floodgate of lawtwitter first open with the appearence of Cohen, Douchette, and Dunford, wasn't Dunford's whole schtick being the reasonable KickVic lawyer? Like being calm, reasonable, even catching Nick on a mistake he made in a hypothetical? No threatening to sue the farms, threadnaughts, or admitting to not be reading the case material. I distinctly remember Nick even praising him under his whole "I just want a reasonable opponent to discuss things with" complex and following him for a time.

What the ever loving hell happened? He has shifted to the most idiotic of takes imaginable. Does the dumb really move by osmosis that drastically?

Nothing happened. A KickVicer misrepresented themselves, AKA lied. Thats a perfectly natural occurrence.

It's hard to say. It's like that thread; nothing he's saying in the first part is really all that wrong, it's just that he's taking the dumbest possible conclusion from it. Yes, after the lawsuit, Vic's reputation will still be harmed. Yes, the lawsuit forced him to acknowledge all the morally dubious things he's done under oath. Yes, when it's done, even if he wins, he'll still have the accusations of being a pedophile rapist on top of the stuff he'll have admitted to: the infidelity, the prostitute, trying to hook up with twins.

What he's leaving out is that the alternative is leaving the claims of being a pedophile rapist out there without defending himself, which is almost certainly worse. On top of that, if he wins, at least he can get some financial relief to make up for the damage to reputation...which is exactly the fucking point of filing a defamation lawsuit!

So, his points aren't entirely wrong, it's just that his conclusions make absolutely no sense based off of the point he himself raised.

Also that this has all been a wake up call for the conventions, with this court case, has boosted Vic to have more than nothing he would have had otherwise.

Man these guys are good at telegraphing what they really are. They are well what everyone really knew already, clout chasing morons. They do not see people, they only see targets to dunk on. Actually quite disgusting if I'm going to be honest.

Could be someone who felt jealous of Vic. Not only do they gotta work long hours, but they weren't even properly invited
like Vic was. Imagine a con only having you because Funi asked them to, and no formal invitation was given.

ALSO! Remember this con event Stan(nis) mentioned:

Well, someone replied to it with the actual video:
It was a request by the fan as joke, lol

Little did Vic know that 10 years later there'd be an actual Voice Actor War...with him as the central figure in it..

Exactly. Obviously things aren't going well for him professionally, but I can only imagine it would be much worse if the court case, Ty, Nick, the other YouTubers weren't there. The fans (or at least a lot of them) have shown that they still support him.

It's a dunning-krueger side effect of being in a toxic echo-chamber. Contrary to KV and Law Twitter's belief, it's healthy to have people to counter your points and not blindly accept and encourage you.

The sad part is Dunford probably was to some degree, interested in being a neutral party and discussing things objectively. Instead, over time, he gets his shit pushed in for opposing Vic, and he finds a hugbox in the Threadnought.

So he has friendly "voices" (this is twitter after all) reinforcing his terrible takes with e-pats, and that galvanizes his shit-takes. He can't possibly be wrong if a thread full of his "peers" are goading him on and encouraging him with cherry-picked and out-of-context "evidence".

Truly the most brilliant trolling plans. Pay to go to a con, stand in Vic's line for hours only to have him (politely, knowing him) refuse to sign the article or depo, then his handler has security boot them. They'll waste their money and time, make kickvic look like bullies, and make Vic look sympathetic, all in one go. What a win for these dummies.

Stan Dahlin is quickly becoming my favorite character in this shit show. It'd be great if Nick had him on.
