Also this was the final straw for me, I was doubting him when he delayed the deportations for a week to try to work with the Democrats (which we knew wouldn't happen) then he only got around 30 measly deportations after all that tough talk. Then his "love it or leave it" rants where he puts israel infront of America in every tweet. Then he disavows his own crowd for chanting HIS OWN WORDS. I no longer trust the plan or want to play 5d chess.

Exactly. Take something away, and it creates a demand for it and incentivizes illegal methods in obtaining them. All the left would accomplish is making guns more difficult for honest people to get, while gangbangers, murderers, and other such ne'er-do-wells would be armed to the teeth and commit whatever crime they want. Illegal weapons selling and distribution would increase, robberies and murders would skyrocket, and common people would be left defenseless while it all goes on.

And yet the left has the audacity to tell people that taking guns away would make things better, but such is the very nature of post-logic mindset that's ruining people today.

I'd say the aspect of it being unenforceable and open to corruption (i.e. people asking and paying for special favors to not be prosecuted for possessing guns) is the greater problem. There is simply no way the federal government could possibly regulate the sale or possession of firearms (or for that matter drugs or alcohol) without turning ourselves into an honest to god police state. And if that happens, the federal government won't have to just worry about actual criminals that are the dregs of society but also law abiding citizens turned criminals/rebels due to their foolish overreach.

Just to point out, as established earlier this is not a ringing endorsement that the suggestion is actually not infringement on gun rights. The NRA has proven itself willing to actually fuck over gun rights again and again any time defending gun rights conflicts with the decisions of the GOP leaders, their willingness to support more gun control does not particularly suggest that they're reasonable measures. It's about like the ACLU signing off on the idea of legislation that curtails free speech, it's not uncommon and shouldn't give weight to the idea that the legislation must be reasonable if the American Civil Liberties Union is okay with it.
