Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Except build the wall, making mexico pay for it, locking up hillary, draining the swamp, protecting free speech and the second amendment and many such cases! Sad!
There are plenty of reasons to question this administration's policies. I have no idea how you managed to find not a single one in your pointy little head. It must take effort to miss this badly.

It's either that or he loses moderate votes. He sees the wind blowing and he needs to clench populist sentiment
Agreed. It's a little disconcerting how little people understand he's in a no win situation here.

He loses by giving a little with red flag laws.
He loses worse by not giving anything when someone kills 20 people because they were unhappy with the flood of illegal immigrants coming over the border, his signature campaign issue.

If there was just the Dayton shooting, I'd say fuck it, stand his ground. But it wasn't just the Dayton shooting. So give them a little, meaningless something and live to fight another day.

This will be an unpopular thing to say, but the Warren/Bernie shooter really took a lot of heat off Trump by somewhat undermining the media narrative that all this political polarization is solely due to his so called 'racist' rhetoric.

But Jews got their tax cuts and Israel got billions so I guess you MIGAtards are happy.
There you go on about DA JOOOOOOOOZ again.
I'm a Jew hater for not wanting all my tax dollars to fund an apartheid state??

Say the guy who clearly wants apartheid in America.

Convert to Islam if you hate Israel and the Jews so much.

Dude it's a joke you humorless asshole did you actually think I unironically supported Jeb?? What is wrong with you cultists?

Poe's law, man. You say stupid stuff long enough, it gets hard to tell when you're full of shit.

You supporting Jeb is no more exceptional than most anything else you've said in this thread lately.

Peak boomer posting.

Cope harder.
Rice is ready would be a much better troll for this thread if he wasn't hammering on DA JOOS near constantly.
Thank you for the fair and balanced criticism.

The correct response for trump is to give lip service to gun control and let Mitch Mconnell tank everything in the senate. He’s in a deep red state and liberals seem to hate him as much if not more than trump, so who cares.

So in one week we have gone from, in this thread, "the left is doomed due to their radicalization" to "we have to make concessions and impliment gun control now or we will lose!".

The grim reality of the situation is there will be more mass shootings in the future, and this is one of the reasons I think in the long term the right wing is screwed. Nothing ever goes back, it just becomes the new taboo, and what was once a normal opinion becomes reactionary.

These are concessions, not compromises: every one given out is one out that will not be ever undone short of the supreme court saying so.

At least on the topic of gun rights, there was a pretty decent amount of progress in the last decade on the state level, with the incorporation of the second amendment in McDonald vs Chicago, the recent California court overturn of parts of their gun bills and the continued reduction on carrying restrictions in red states.

Despite how constantly people decry the mainstream media, they still allow the media to manipulate their emotions far more than they might realize or let on. Even if you're in a completely diametrically-opposed position compared to whatever stance they're taking, they take their stances to such an extreme that it makes you knee-jerk to a similar extreme in opposition, putting you in a situation where you've shoved yourself much further from your original stance than you'd otherwise ever naturally place yourself, which makes it significantly easier to exploit that knee-jerk stance to try and paint you as a legitimate extremist. It's really not a new strategy.

Mass shootings are an excellent example of this, considering that for the next week following a mass shooting it becomes utterly impossible to have a normal conversation with anyone who dives into politics as a hobby, because everyone's tweaking out so hard that every little statement you make is immediately pushed up to an 11 to make whatever small point you were trying to make seem like a radical, country-altering demand. In most other situations it's relatively easy to debate politics with most people and have them respond level-headedly, but following a mass shooting? Forget it, just shut your phone off and go find something else to do for a week.

The good and the sad news is that a week or two from today, nobody will really remember that this even happened.

Edit: Hello, thread-reader from the future. It's been a week, do you remember the outrage?

That link gave me cancer.

If you're going to use a tweet to make a point embed a screenshot:

Then embed the link after it.

It's not rocket science, and it makes your posts more readable. If you're going to be autistic, at least make it easy on people to see what you are REEEEEing about.

Also, is your main issue with Trump guns or the Jews? You said you won't vote for Trump because he made a conciliatory remark about gun control after a tragedy, then spent 3 pages raving about the Protocols of Zion. I'm not a huge fan of Israel either, but you're not helping your cause with your behavior.

So if Trump fell for the trick, his response would have been "Fuck the leftist outrage machine, legalize fully automatic weapons and implement constitutional carry in all 50 states!""?
