She's ginger, and since Thick Lasagna apparently can't keep away from those (Specht, Marchi) she would be a prime target.

But not bad looking at all. I don't know much about her personality-wise but I haven't heard anything crazy about her.

latest
Heh she's like a positive mirror image of Marchi.

This is interesting- Karen Mika's 'supplemented' affidavit claims she KNEW about the investigation AND that she was directly responsible for deciding to terminate Vic... despite FUNimation desperately tried to claim Vic WASN'T fired for any form of 'sexual assault that was talked about in an investigation'.

The contract that Karen provides also shows that she just decided to not follow the firing procedure on the contract- which blatantly states that any and all Employees and 'Independent Contractors' are terminated via WRITTEN notice.

Vic wasn't, he was terminated via a phonecall where Karen Mika never even explained what Vic was being fired for.

Remember, Karen Mika claims to know that the investigation happened and that she was responsible for firing Vic... yet Nick has an email made by Monica where Monica had to explain who she was and inform FUNimation HR about Sony's investigation AFTER Vic was fired.

So did Karen just conveniently not tell anyone about the Sony Investigation and why she decided to Fire Vic? She certainly didn't tell Scott Barretto, because he was telling a very different story in his supplemented Affidavit...

The more you look at these, the more fuck-ups you find! Ty's going to have a FIELD DAY tearing these things to shreds!
Look, I'm sure they knew about his alleged predatory nature.

But he just wouldn't trim his nails properly.
Saw it above and I hate to admit that while Vic has a strong backing and I mean it's really strong, it is not quite enough for these companies to fold over and hire Vic back immediately. Though RT is on their own as Vic isn't going to save them regardless of any decision. Funi is really dancing on the line by not settling and it really is advised just to settle on this matter before the clowns make them pay a lot more money. That money is coming but from whose pocket is the question.
I seriously doubt Vic is considering jumping back into the lions den. And I hope he doesn't.

Now if, say, Toei decides to restructure its dubbing operations, that's up to them.

EDIT: Just to clarify: Vic Mignogna is Vic Mignogna. His class and professionalism speak for themselves. If Funi is seriously interested in mending bridges, I'm all for that. But I doubt it, and I wouldn't trust them if they did. But Vic well might.

I'm of the idea that Vic won't be served well by going back to Funi or RT, considering he'll be working with people who backstabbed him for clout. I think he'll try to be more standalone or at least more choosy with who he works with, perhaps take more offers from elsewhere or try to take the reins.

Take them down, take his damage money, and move on. That's how I see this working out best for him.
If he doesn't want to move back to California for Bang Zoom, Aniplex, Viz, etc, he can throw out a line to Sentai. I'm calling bullshit on Monica's claim that Vic's banned from the Sentai offices, and I'm sure Sentai would love the boost. Also, while Monica, Jamie, and other Funimation VAs have voiced at Sentai, I don't think they've had any directorial or writing positions. Sabat has no power there.

Not quite, Monica's email was explaining everything as if it were the first time it had EVER been brought up- she did something similar with her friend (The EX-Funi employee) and followed it up with "He's guilty! He's just trying to use his charisma to get away with it like he always does, just believe me."

This all just reeks of total Bullshit, and I'm almost positive that Karen and Scott are trying to patch holes in the TCPA... because, you know, slapping ducktape on the side of a sinking ship will DEFINITELY solve the problem.

That's right kids, keep blowing this up. It's certainly worked wonders so far, what with Vic bringing in more fans to support him with each attack you make.

And now they have a bigger indoor venue, that they'll likely fill up completely if recent history has proven anything. Bravo, Ren. You sure do have a solid track record of being a toxic bitch and it backfiring when your targets become more successful simply through involuntary martyrdom.
I was thinking that this morning. Every target she sets her eyes on gains more success. Ya boi Zach was targeted left and right and made money. EVS made money. TUG may as well rent billboards on her ass made money. Anime Masturi could have projected an AI concert on her back made money. The only thing she is good for is making money for the opposition. Hell, she couldnt even put effort to promote the book she leeched onto and that itself killed any momentum it ever had. You would think that loudmouth of hers would be good for that but even her other projects are more like hobbies. If she would ever lose that trust fund we would probably find her at some street corner in Houston sucking even at that and trying to get rid of the high priced call-girl(she gets more johns). In the end of it all the fat-ass is jealous other individuals can achieve success because people actually pay attention to those indies. And i bet her mommy and daddy never paid any attention to her except when she got married and moved out after which they had an after-party and turned her room into a studio or more storage.

if we're going to be 100% honest here, there really isn't gonna be a point for Vic to go back to Funi, since it's probably gonna be sunk no matter the result of the case. Maybe Toei grants the license to someone else for DBZ?

It's certainly possible- after all, Toei brought the hammer down and revoked the name rights from Funi's Golden Fuckboy Sabat, and then they took a fat shit on his shitty little 'tour'.

Toei is certainly not happy about FUNi's complete fucking incompetence.

Assuming FUNimation doesn't fire these people themselves, imagine how fucking funny it would be if they say: "Well at least I still have my job-" and Sony IMMEDIATELY cleans house and puts them on the street.
I don't believe commiefornia-based Sony would go out of their way to hire a white-male christian tbh, but I do agree that to avoid future incidents they will fucking clean house on a lot of these Funi shitdicks. I don't think RT's owner quitting right after the Vic situation kicked off is a ""coincidence"" either, I think certain (perhaps smarter) individuals have sensed the blood in the water and have already started "jumping ship" from an industry seemingly in the process of Getting Woke and Going Broke. In the past year or two I've begun to hear and recognize multiple lesser Funimation VAs like Jad Saxton for example, branching off into video game roles and even other Sentai/Viz projects that I swear I never heard them in before in the past. Nothing unusual on the surface of course, and I could be wrong about them crossing between studios more frequently, but it is something to consider moving forward - watching who starts "branching out" from Funi to look for what may be greener pastures.

Now if, say, Toei decides to restructure its dubbing operations, that's up to them.
Best way to keep Vic as Broly imo. and it should be done imo. Fuck Funi, keep vic as Broly - he doesn't need to be at Funi to do it.

I made a post awhile back. They failed and Anime Matsuri got even bigger with more females attending than males.

Something was bugging me. There was a picture posted somewhere (not in this thread I don't think, but I don't know where) of people following that Grigsby lady.

Funimation is no longer following her.

I made the post.
I've already pointed out yesterday that Funi is no longer following her, here in the main thread.

According to behind the scenes info that Nick and Ty have gone over- Toei was very happy about Vic being cast as Broly, then all of Sabat's cuckery to try and get Vic removed royally pissed them off... it could have been what instigated Toei to crackdown on Sabat first.

I gotta wonder, I've never really followed much of DB, but why is Toei really focused on Vic as Broly?

SImple: Vic was the first VA for Broly and he doesn't have a huge ego and a stick up his ass like Sabat or Schemmel.

Toei is going to hire the guy that people love AND that's going to be civil with them and not do some egotistical garbage like talking shit about Toei... a stunt that, if rumors are to be believed, Sabat and Schemmel have BOTH tried to pull.

Toei is going to back the person that's most convenient for them, after all, you'll never see Vic having another VA thrown out of a convention because "I'M the only Broly! No one else! No one has EVER voiced this character before me!"

I'm looking at you, Sean "Cuckarot" Schemmel.

Wow, I actually don't remember Sabat and Schemmel back talking Toei. Huh.

That explains everything.

If it's a contract, even an employment contract, that takes precedence of the at-will employment for a simple reason. At-Will is 90% of the time state level, while contract laws are some high percentage federal with a little bit on the state level. though one thing is consistent. Breach of contract is considered federal. As a result, at-will does not protect a company from the law.

As such, Funi made a major miscalculation.

Indeed, that isn't all. Rekieta showed an email in one of his live streams showing that Funimation to a degree does in fact control its voice actors on social media and what they can or cannot say in public as indicated in an email that Funimation had sent to a voice actor some time ago.

This partially disproves Vice President of Operations, Karen Mika's affidavit testimony claim that Funimation has no control over what its voice actors say on social media. While that is substantial, it is far more amusing that Funimation screwed Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi by implying that only Monica and Jamie are responsible for what they do or say on social media.

All the defendants made a gross miscalculation.

Is eye shield in reference to the football anime? If not I apologize. But if so, then maybe you are aware of Tom Brady from the patriots. He is loved by the organization for his reasonable contract and ability. Other players outside of the patriots don't like him.

Because they want max contracts. It doesn't look good, when the best QB in the league, six ring Super Bowl winner, gets paid 10's of million less then an average QB who is demanding Max pay, near 30 mill. Like a Dak, who can't even throw the ball. Or the many others that haven't even won a Super Bowl.

To further emphasis. They say well, he doesn't need all that money because his wife is rich. That's not his fault nor should it be.

It's not vic's fault he had projects and interests outside of VA work. And not entirely dependent on Funi or Rooster (possibly) like his peers.

This isn't just a matter of them not wanting him on the team. They want Vic out of the league. This is conspiring with other team owners to blackball him by labeling with BS. So even competitors won't pick him up.

You will be interested to know that Funimation just burnt Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi by including a new affidavit with a testimony that just screwed them over.

Vice President of Operations, Karen Mika - "Funimation did not control or direct any of the Twitter or other social media posts made by Jamie Marchi or Monica Rial about Vic Mignogna. Nor did Funimation control or direct any other communications made by Jamie Marchi or Monica Rial about Vic Mignogna"

This statement alone shifts any burden of responsibility from Funimation and onto Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi for any defamatory statements made online.

Hear that Monica & Jamie, you just got screwed by your own employer!
They wanna get outta Dodge any way they can. Maybe it’s because they listen to their lawyers, maybe it’s because they’re scared of Toei and/or Sony busting in belt in hand, but they want off the ride.

I think a lot of people are saying this alone won’t kill a company. The real question imo is if whoever’s repping Funimation in this lawsuit is the double down types the VAs come across as. Also, the chances of the likes of Sony or Toei coming in and telling them to settle “or else” are really slim.

Nah, you need Flex Tape for that shit.

Has it ever been confirmed that the studio thing was Toei’s doing?

Yes, Eyeshield 21. Introduced by the anime because I watched it while I was sick one day, but man do I love the manga more. Still, OP2 (innocence) is a banger.

All of this makes sense, true.

As a football guy, not sure about other players hating him, but all football watchers with no ties to Boston or New England hate the guy. As for not demanding max, you’re on the money. Hell, I’m pretty sure Tom Brady has NEVER been the top paid quarterback in the league at any point in his career.
