I keep going back to that DJ Leviathan photo. I know there are some slightly odd fashion choices there, including the fingerless gloves (really, unless a person is planning to ride a bicycle or motorcycle in the next 30 seconds, or I guess play certain sports...), but he looks actually happy. Of course, he's also drunk most of the beer he's holding, but he's smiling in a non-sinister way and seeming to enjoy himself. (That's one problem with Islam for you, Marijan, no beer. Ever.) I really want to know more about that period of his life. I can't seem to get an answer to my questions about whether that is a Herman Melville reference or what the deal is there (and likewise, has he heard/heard of Mastodon's concept album Leviathan), but I legit want to know the basics here: why that name? How did he start DJing, and how long did it last? Did he meet any interesting people on the job, male or female? That kind of thing. Because it's the only picture where he looks truly happy, not on some kind of weird emo mission to frighten the photographer, and he's visibly less gaunt than in the beardless photo as well.
