Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

So it looks like Disney is rereleasing the Star Wars movies on Blu Ray next month.

And unless it has the theatrical version of 4-6 no one will care. Why buy a second copy of what you already have? It's been out on bluray for years, to the point that Walmart had the six movie collection on bluray for $39.99 at one point.

Shit release it in the money waste of 4K at least.

Well Disney owns Fox now, who owned the rights to all of ANH and the rest of Episodes 1-3 and 5-6, I believe these were the other films Fox had to give up besides their Marvel heroes of course. So far, I've not seen anything regarding the theatrical version of 4-6.

But I mean Disney released the Blurays of the altered ones AFTER they bought Lucasfilm. There is no reason to buy 1-6 over again, especially in the same format. And any sequel fans probably already have blurays of those films.

I wonder how many Star Wars paypiggies they have remaining who are obsessive about box art?

I was gonna say, the only notable thing about the re-releases is that the box art designs are actually pretty cool. That's probably who they're targeting.

I honestly prefer if they release Episodes 1-6 on 4K in both theatrical and special edition. 7-9 can be left alone as the black sheep if they release all nine films together packaged as “Star Wars film collection.”

*Me when I hear Star Wars EP 9 is going to bomb*

I spoke about this a few pages back, where some sort of film festival or awards (can't remember which) wanted to showcase the unedited version of the OT but they couldn't seek out permission from FOX or Disney, instead they had to go directly to Lucas for permission, and he obliged surprisingly, showing that he still has control over the originals in some way. There was also something a few days ago on some channel regarding some clips of the unedited OT being shown. I'm trying to look it up and as soon as I find it I'll post a link.

Also, in case none of you ever heard of it, there's a traveling museum originally started with help from Old Lucasfilm ages ago that serves as an interactive SW exhibition known as Star Wars Identities, and despite so many years passing by, they still haven't included Disney shit in their exhibition. Only thing they included are two things from TFA, which are Kylo Ren's lightsaber and BB-8 which get no special recognition or entries apparently. BB-8 is barely even seen in promotional videos featuring the droids.

After finishing their most recent tour in Australia, they'll be in Japan starting today until January 13, 2020.

Also, after Brie Larson, Katy Perry and Matt Damon failed to attract attention to the park, the people at the wonderful world of Disney decided to invite Mickey's old bitch boys the Jonas Brothers to the park to boost morale... Yeah, because they're totally still relevant. How about inviting familiar aliens and characters instead you hacks?

Perhaps I crossed over from some crazy alternate timeline where everything was better, but I was 80% sure they either died or were on crack by now.

That’s odd, I thought the Jonas Brothers hated Iger and his hacks in the Disney board of directors and wanted to distance themselves from them. Also, I believe one of them is married to the star of the latest X-Men movie, you know the one where Disney-Fox lost $170 million off of. Why would they resort to the guy married to one of the stars of one of the biggest bombs in history?

Also, Matt Damon was at the park?

I mentioned it on the last page. Also we just hit the 600th page... Here's to 100 more pages of griefing.

I wasn’t paying attention there.

But you know, I wonder how reshoots are going for them. I mean, I can’t imagine how stressful it is to reshoot portions of a movie that is slated for a December release for two months.

Hectic I can imagine. I knew some people who were working as extras on the last two films, but I don't know if they're working on these ones. Great money though if you can get the work consistently.

I mean, it shouldn't be that hard for the cast. Just say the stupid lines for their cardboard characters, they don't even need to act. Ridley established that quite firmly with her patented fishface technique, all they need to do is copy that and all become the face of the franchise.

Or in the case of Dohnmall Gleeson as General Hux, use BILLY MAYS as your inspiration for your character.
