You'd think with the anti-suicide turtle suits being used as an accessory to suicide, corrections people would abandon them by now...

Don't get me wrong, those suits are effective; until a guy intent or desperate enough finds one that's worn out & should've been DX'd. Brand new, and it takes some sort of tool to at least get started, but everything else is still going to be tight.

Often all inmates will get for their troubles are short pieces (by design) & sliced up fingers; but there are spots deep in turtlesuits that have stitching long enough to work with. A suicide smock would have to be pretty worn and/or damaged for that though, as the long stitching is pretty buried and locked in.

As for Epstein; before anything else, I figured that he was given a ratty, blown out turtlesuit...... <Tinfoil>probably kept handy for just such an occasion</tinfoil>
