This will only not happen if they somehow won decisively. With how the case and online discourse has gone, Toei is likely waiting for things to quiet down before delivering the hammer: Funi's contract is cancelled and they are too toxic for their brand.

Toei likely views Funi's distancing itself from control over its VAs as pathetic attempt to shift blame and likely are reconsidering their ties already..... and the fact their VA's are clearly toxic and disliked is definitely shifting that decision to will. the only reason they wait is because they want the lawsuit to run its course so that Funi doesn't try to smear them as 'influencing the courts'.

The legal battle as only entered the first big stage (aka Deposition and TCPA) and once that is done and over with we'll be looking at a rabbit hole I do not think any of us know what will happen. The bulk of the battle is in the fandom and the industry itself. Nick and I think most of us want Vic's reputation restored as a reputable and money generating VA we all want to see succeed. The lawsuit is just the nail in the coffin to end this quite honestly stupid mean girl raid to end a man. I have a love-hate that this controversy caused so many names to grow exponentially but the ones that did it for good kind of deserve the growth. Vic's bringing in the profits and we need to keep it that way. Companies should be able to look at Vic and consider hiring him before the lawsuit is over. Let those companies know how powerless the clout cods really are. So yeah, that battle has gone on for like half a year now and the KickVic side is so far pushed into a corner we make jokes about them. Actually, I think we're rooting for them to do stuff for more GFM money. Let's keep draining Funi's profit margins one weeb at a time.

Oh, I just realized something I think would make everyone's day. Just imagine email exchanges between Funi and Sony execs about Kiwifarms and Funi complaining about them being the reason why their profits are down. I'm almost positive the site is mentioned in at least some email exchange from an exec in Funi. I mean they can't possibly blame the VAs due to their no tolerance for harassment so who else can they blame but random people on the internet who make memes. They are always at fault. Always.

You're not wrong. The social media battle is important, and it keeps Vic's career from dying out before the lawsuit can fix it, but the lawsuit and the battle are symbiotic. Fan support alone isn't enough, because the people involved are too powerful. But my main point is that the real impact of the lawsuit hasn't been felt yet. There's no point getting discouraged and saying things like 'oh, his career is dead, they got what they wanted, now they have to pay' because right now the companies care more about the legal ramifications (Sabat being outed, the investigation being a sham, the accusations being provably false) than the fan support. If it were just about the fans then it would have been decided by whether fujos or fans were louder. It wasn't. It was always the VAs and Funimation throwing him actively under the bus and to this day still pressuring cons to drop him, and likely dub studios as well.

We don't know what the outcome will be yet, but it's important to note that Vic is doing this not just for his reputation, not to punish these people, but to salvage his career. That will be a primary goal, alongside the restoration of his reputation, in whatever resolution he has say over.

Every email seems to point at her framing Vic, pushing people to remove Vic, and then pushing to be able to defame him on twitter or seek further punishment against him. Either she's getting emails from Sabat demanding she send out these emails to people, or something seriously pissed her off to trigger this single-minded vendetta against him this year. Like...maybe she made a pass at Vic at the Funimation Christmas party, having determined he had enough time post-break up with Michelle for it to be 'okay', and Vic was like "Whoa, Monica! I care about you a lot...but we're just friends."

I mean, I know the obvious conclusion is that she's been faking it with him for years, but they really have known each other for decades, and she goes out of her way to flirt with him. Let's assume the hotel story literally never happened, right? He suggests that he did hit on Kara but was rejected and left it at that, but Monica's story appears to literally be a fabrication. So Monica's wanted his d for at least a decade, but he's been with Michelle. Maybe she knows he cheats and just doesn't feel comfortable pushing her luck with him because she's also friends with Michelle, maybe she doesn't know at all. But then a year ago he breaks up with Michelle and now he's free. She's got Ron, but he's just a steady paycheck, not the chad best friend she's wanted for years. She waits an 'acceptable' amount of time before making a pass for real, and Vic politely but firmly friendzones her.

Bam. Monica's now a woman scorned. No one friendzones her, she's best girl! She's the main character, he's just the support characters! She plays Froppy, what MHA character does he voice? exactly! And Sabat and Schemmel who have always hated him are around during this time, as they're voicing for the Broly movie. They fuel her hate-on for him, and talk about how he's old, overrated, arrogant, and a bible-thumper, absolutely doesn't belong in the industry anyway but here he is stealing a top billing character he can't even voice properly anyway. If only those dumb fujoshi who hate him actually had any pull in the fandom he'd be kicked out and no longer their problem.
