Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

They live from the sympathy they get out of being made fun on here despite the fact that 99% of the time, they actively go out of their way to bait it. So much that they'll scour the farms for any mention of themselves so they can post screenshots about it on twitter and proceed to whine about "being harassed by KF that notorious harassment website". Then sit there while their following come in droves to collectively lick their buttholes and give them sympathy and asspats. Like, they are such attention whores that some times I wonder if they legitimately get off on the attention they are given. Like, it's a legit fetish for them. They don't get enough of it in real life, so they have to constantly look for it online, even if they make a complete and embarrassing fool of themselves.

The professional term for this is crybully.

It would make my fucking year if one of these social parasites saw my smiling Hitler avatar and tried raising a moral panic over it. God I'd just love it.
Getting them mad over a picture is small peas. I'd be surprised if they would mention it since it's expected someone on a nazi forum has a picture of Poppa A. The shoutout is 10x better when they meet your words with words. It shows they care.

So, are there any updates on the legal processes? I heard nick rekieta says we may have an answer soon, so I wonder what will be the fate of the tcpa's.

Hearing isn't until the end of the month. Might not be a ruling until October.

I'm sure Lemonie will submit 100 trash motions in the meantime.

I mean, at this point Doucette is flat out going full sperg mode and yelling "Vic is a pedophile!" all over Twitter, talking about him raping 5 year olds and shit. Any pretense of being independent observers has been well abandoned. They seem to want to see him lose, not as a matter of law, but as a matter of "winning" an internet slapfight.
And its good to know that he shouts those allegations while agreeing with those voices who say that if Vic just leaves
the industry and works on his redemption, he'll be ok.

He and his ilk are now slapping in the face of victims of pedophiles. Twitter has stripped all pretense of shame that's in built into
human interaction, and I'm hoping in the next decade it all falls by the wayside like myspace.

Twitter has been around for about 13 years and I wouldn't be surprised if it starts waning fast just because it's so old. Isn't instagram or something starting to overtake it now? How popular is the blue bird with kids nowadays anyway? It's already known to be pretty crazy like what FB started to become around it's decline.

Inb4 :optimistic:

Lot of people mad over fucking nothing lately.
What is it with this thread that brings out the autism from the wood work?

Because some of us feel the voice actors are getting undue credit. Steve Blum didn't write Cowboy Bebop. Steve Blum didn't animate Cowboy Bebop or compose the music. Cowboy Bebop would still be a great series even if he wasn't involved.

Some of the cos thots consluts were trying to find lawyers to agree with them because not even they were stupid enough to buy Shane's claims of having legal expertise and experience with contracts. Since Akiva's account is protected I can't really dig into it more. Dominique Skye found some comment that Akiva Cohen made (or had been telling him about the case prior to that and just clipped his response) and tweeted about it. Shannon McCormick of Rooster Teeth tagged in Low-T.

There might be a little bit of deeper lore behind it all, but that's generally how it happened.

The link and archive are the same URL.

Just in case it gets lost, here's the actual copy.

You're not wrong, but sometimes a VA fits a character so well the series would be marginally worse if that person hadn't voiced said character.
Although I only watches subbed so I can't speak about western VAs.

I feel like anyone could do a good job voicing a character if they get into the role enough. A lot of people just associate Spike with Steve because we watched him speak in Steve Blun's voice for so long that we can't really imagine anyone else voicing him so the thought of Spike being voiced by another is inherently a foreign concept to most. But feral is right in that Steve isn't the be all end all with Spike's character. His japanese Va also did an amazing job with Spike and I'm pretty sure if another VA voiced Spike, he would do an equally impressive job.

Oh god, do I even want to know?
I'm a fan of Linkara's stuff, what the HELL did he do...?
He has a lolcow thread/he's a cringy male feminist with @LordKaT tier cubed degenerate fetishes.

I still like his Power Rangers vids and try to mentally ignore his off Youtube weirdness.

Nobuyuki Hiyama is Viral from Tengen Toppa to me and I don't think anyone would fit the character quite as well. Same thing with Takehito Koyasu and DIO from JoJo. I also can't imagine English Ed from FMA as any voice but Vic's but hell maybe I'm just easy to leave an impression on.

This is not a new thing. Its always this way. History has tons of these examples. People just dont want to think society is capable of such things.
Yup plus we hear about the old witch hunts and think "it can't happen again we learned our lesson right?".

No one was ever denying that though.
If anything people are getting mad that others were enjoying a performance. Like if someone said how great Leo was in Titanic, would you act the same way? Just chill the fuck out.

Pretty sure it's that mentality that causes history to loop back on itself. It's one thing about this modern, "peaceful and advanced", age that drives me bananas. I could go on for hours about this kind of thing though.
