That’s the hilarious part; SJW anime fans can’t stand Go Nagai. They blame him for everything “wrong” with anime today and if it weren’t for him, anime would be much more pure and chaste.
It’s insane but true; anime SJWs are freaking weird.

The funny thing about it is that some of them were actually pretty positive on Go Nagai and other "problematic" anime, even just a few years ago. I remember Mike Toole being quite positive about Shin Mazinger and Getter Robo on podcasts 10 years ago. Zac and Jesuotaku have a lot of good things to say about a lot of 80's anime that they'd hate if they were released today. Hell, you can look at the response from these people when Kill la Kill came out compared to how they feel about it now, and realize that they all suddenly just..."decided" it was problematic, misogynistic crap at about the same time.

Much like with GG, there's a bunch of people out there that spent a lot of time making edgy jokes and enjoying edgy material that suddenly just collectively decided that stuff was wrong and horrible. Personally, I think most of them still like it, they just pretend not to because they know they aren't supposed to like it.

Such a brain dead way to react to culture shifting like that.
You should be able to enjoy stuff that is problematic (and yes, you can acknowledge it is problematic),
just don't make it a huge part of your identity, and know how to separate fantasy from reality. Unfortunately, since these some of these smooth brains decided to make a career out of anime, they have to show publicly they're not supposed to like
problematic stuff.

This is where people make the mistake. The media types didn't suddenly wake up one day and decide that previous "OK" anime was now a problem. There was nothing brain dead about it.

What it was, was a conscious and calculated effort to follow the 'current year' thinking, which at the time was in a far lesser stage than it is today. They (meaning the outlets) got fully on board with their peers in regular media.

'Regular media' is controlled by two things. Advertising money and agendas. And where do the ad dollars go? To the people who are onboard with the agenda. See Youtube ad policies and who gets their channels monetized...or not...for how it works today.

But back then it really was the same. Just different hands and different cookie jars.

It's funny because Devilman: Crybaby developed a Tumblr fanbase only because it was directed by Masaaki Yuasa (whose art-style makes everyone look like uwu soft gaybois), and now you see nothing but yaoi shit looking it up.

Indeed. Who's to say that they even actually liked something that they now claim to despise anyway? They act like mindless sheep now, so why believe that they were anything but that previously as well. Since they've demonstrated an inability to think for themselves, it's reasonably to assume that they only liked it then because someone else told them it was the popular thing to like at the time.

It was pretty entertaining reading Newtype and Animerica back in the 2000-2005'ish era. The dangerhair editors/writers of the day had some interesting takes on anime like Misaki Chronicles/Divergence Eve, Full Metal Panic, Excel Saga, Gasaraki and such that had all sorts of 'problematic issues' like basketball sized tits, the glorification of war/violence, sexual situations etcetcetc, when their main ad source was ADV, the publisher of said videos and a fanbase that couldn't get enough of it.

A funny (Funi?) thing happened though. The woker they got, the faster readership fell off a cliff. Until one day, those publications went out of business. Imagine my shock.

Edit: As a side note/bonus points, guess which voice actress and actor appeared on many of the eras' titles together? Now guess which of the two often had the greater role and now bitches about her victimhood under the patriarchial power of her male costar.

Hmmm...was it Chris Sabat and Luci Christian?😉

This reminds me; I remember there was an alternate dub for Dragon Ball Super that aired in Asian markets, featuring a completely different cast from California with people like Lex Lang and Wendee Lee.
In the case that Toei ever needs an English dub for Dragon Ball, they already have a back up, more or less. Even better, Vic lives in LA, so he voice some roles if he pleased.
It only aired the first two arcs (Beerus and Frieza) before it stopped and seems to have been pretty much cancelled. It wasn't that great to listen to either.

As for Vic, he moved back to Texas before all of this stuff went down. Really unfortunate.

Because Go Nagai isn't part of KickVic or IStandWithVic. Mazinger, Great Mazinger, Getter Robo, Getter Robo G, Dino Mech Gaiking, Grendizer, Devil Man, all only available subbed as god intended! None of you whipper snappers probably even know what those are. Your loss.

Mazinger Z Infinity was dubbed for US release by Viz. And it's actually a rather good dub. And I don't think any of the English VA's on it are even on the Vic related radar.

I'm old enough to remember that back in the day, the original Mazinger Z got a dub.

Oh, Tranzor Z, how I remember thee. You had a lulzy moment or two...

(lol bobobot)

Steve Blum is a serial cheater. He and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn both divorced their spouses and hooked up with each other. Messy af. Makes Bebop painfully ironic

I know him best as Wolverine.

I.wish there could be a snap and Sean dies and we get Peter and Kirby to replace him lol.

Haven't got that far. Working my way through the 70's shows. Finishing up Great Mazinger, up next Grendizer.

You can watch Maz Infinity after Gr Maz. or the 2 or 3 movies vs the Great General etc, Infinity picks up a few years after those storylines. No reference to Grendizer in it. (Also if you gotta go aniweeb, go upscale aniweeb and by the quality die cast super robots that the dangerhaired troons could never afford. The Bandai Metal Build Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger are amazing.

This is why I have such a rabid mode against Zac and his ilk minded faggots. It goes a lot deeper for me too, but hey, if they could make a profit by throwing the entire fandom off onto highway traffic, they would. I'm not even getting into how their obviously baizuo worldview and their still deeply subconscious Judeo Christian programmed mentality patterns mix into their faggot "anime should be entirely mature artsy and serious" first world problem garbage, or how their overt consumer and spectator mental programming along with their fatheaded inferiority superiority complexes lead them into the SJW Faggotry Parade and the "Believe Womyn Always" train.

Watch the depo, she shows why when asked about the broly movie.

Yes, I know about her professional jealousy. However, I don't believe that she was faking how much she liked him most of their time together. It's weird that people argue her being super friendly and flirty with him for years after Izumicon must mean she wasn't assaulted then and didn't 'stop thinking of him as a friend' then, but also turn around and say that she's been jealous and hated him for years over things like Tsubasa (which happened in the early 2010/late 2000s). Something has to have changed. Monica's lost ground in the con circuit, but she's gained it in roles. She even got the Bulma role. Sean and Chris we know have hated him for years, but something triggered Monica to jump sides and suddenly act like she's always hated him.

Thus, my current suspicion is that she made a pass at him late 2018, was rejected, and jumped into Sabat's side purely out of spite and anger that someone who should be 'beneath her' rejected her.

To clarify: I don't doubt that she's been jealous of him. I just think she was friends with him in spite of her jealousy, and then something happened to make her angry and drop that friendship, which she now justifies to herself with that jealousy.

So if Steve cheated while married, that means he's confirmed raped 80 children, right?

Here's something that the Woke wonders don't realize... They have already 'canceled' or blacklisted enough name VAs to EASILY surpass Funi and RT's rosters. So the scenario I described the other day for establishing a new studio is all the easier. Lets do a reality check: When you're cancled/blacklisted, you arent worried about working for Funi/RT/whoever again. you are free to take any offer you like with not a care in the world what woke twitter thinks.

Another point to ponder: Since hardcopy DVD/BluRay is less of a thing now than ever, Toei and the rest of Japan can't be held hostage to physical distributor games and any wokeness that may entail. Nor do they need Netflix, Hulu, Disney or any other American company to distribute English dubbed shows to America. They can simply do it from their own online stores or under their current distribution deals in Japan.

Actually, I was wondering who Toei distributes with in Japan? Also if they talk to Sony-Japan who might have some control over Sony-North America.

If Toei is pissed and can talk to Funimation's boss' boss, then that changes things a bit.

My chief concern out of all of this is why. I want to know why she would do that. I want to know why they would all get together and stab him in the back. I want to know why they despise him so badly. I want to know why they are willing to go to extreme lolcow lengths along with their equally insane fanbases just to ruin the career of one man. Why?

Simple...it is pride. Monica started with the accusations and he was suppose to roll over. Most of these people were giving her support just to make themselves more known as a friend in support. It all backfired and now many of em are in deep. A lot of the new people coming out are probably friends with the people who were in too deep and are now in deep themselves.

In other words....pride and hivemind mentality

I do think a lot of it is professional jealousy, but I think there's other reasons thrown in there too, like Sean isn't so much jealous as he is just rabidly hateful because Vic is an outspoken Christian. What I want to know is exactly what sparked it. These people have hated him for years, but something made them go 'no, THIS time we're doing something', and I don't believe for a second that it was hanleia. She's just a pawn. That's why I think it was Monica getting rejected some time after Vic would have been 'free' and couldn't hide behind having a fiancee she's friends with as a way to let her down nicely. I think she was the last bit of weight to flip the scale and trigger the move. I know they're using Sabat's power, and he's apparently the one calling the shots, but if he could have done it on his own he would have long ago.
