Youtuber PhilosophyTube goes by the name of "Oliver Thorn" online but this is not his real name. His real name is Oliver Lennard.
He once announced in a livestream that he had his name legally changed to "Oliver Thorn". Though I don't remember which one, so consider this a trustfall. I don't know why he decided to officially change it, or at least claim to do so

Incidentally, Alex had agreed to come onto my stream to debate a while back, and then got really paranoid after I had one of his hangers on on my stream. I reached out to him afterwards and have gotten 4 different excuses, with the latest one asserting I'm stalking him and that I don't have a big enough audience. So after about three nights of overtaking him in viewer numbers I decided to take a bit of a victory lap and message him.

Cmon dude. Everyone knows you're an ugly ex-gf who froths at the mouth and keeps sending Alex pictures of his girldick and also a bad-faith actor.

More seriously though, I'd suggest you no-contact him so as to not play into his doxing nazis persecution narrative, but you do you especially since you are a content producer yourself. It's also quite interesting how two-faced he is, in that he says "not even my best friend knows my real name" (yes that's a quote) and "my name has been known since before those virgins-with-rage on Kiwifarms tried to dox me" simultaneously. Or maybe it's his attempt at memeing while leftist idk.

Hoes Mad.
That's indeed a case of mad hoes. We'll be sure to watch its development good sir.

lol. I love how I'm a bad faith actor for reasons he'll never be able to articulate (they ape the most obnoxious of Tiny's behaviors.

I want someone from the UK to confirm this claim. Is this alleged "rule" a real rule? Who is enforcing this alleged rule "that no two actors [in the UK] can have the same name"?
I can't speak for the UK, but I know the Screen Actors Guild in America requires every actor to have a completely unique name. You can't even reuse the name of a dead member. Samuel L. Jackson, for example, had never called himself Samuel L. Jackson before, but there was already a Sam Jackson from the black and white days and a Samuel Jackson as well, so he had to keep digging into his own name for quite a ways before he reached something he could register with SAG.

I found something funny that I meant to post here a while back but never got around to. Here how 4chan reacted when someone asked them about BreadTube, posting a picture of the BreadTube elites (Harry, Oliver and Nyk):

What were they asserting in the OP? The response is hitting really on the head. Nyk has a moderate following but that's after massive establishment fluffing(funny how a guy called Contrapoints has pretty much universal establishment backing). I ask about the OP because I know for a fact that some of these retards start threads on /pol/ about themselves.

This seems to be the original thread:

Thier /pol/ threads can't even get past 30 replies. lol.
I don't think /pol/ gives two shits about BreadTubers in any fashion. In fact, I can't recall any threads where the replies said anything more than "OP is a fag." Occasionally, they'll reply to a Three Arrows video, but beyond that, they ignore the rest of 'em. Even ContraPoints doesn't get that much engagement despite being /r/BreadTube's darling.

I will build off of that and show two threads on /r/BreadTube about this guy and whether he's legit or not. No idea who he is, but yes, it appears he has been accused of being an alt-right troll (a, old):

Here's another thread concerning whether he's a troll or not (a, old):

I did some cursory searches on Google Trends and have noticed the term started ticking around the middle of 2018, but climbed considerably towards the end of the year. Now it's higher than ever and is probably expected to grow:
View attachment 711448

The earliest mention of breadtube on /pol/ comes from a post about Davis Aurini on August 11, 2018, which lines up with the period where the term gained traction. According to WhoIs, breadtube.tv was registered January 13th, 2019 which would also explain the sudden surge in intrigue this year.

I should qualify that the earliest mention of the term "breadtube" on /pol/ actually was in reference to a creepy fetish site about bread that started and ceased activity in February 2016. Said /pol/ thread received no replies, so it can be reasonably presumed the term "breadtube" as we know today didn't exist until 2018. It was around that time that left-wing content creators seriously started investing time in producing videos on YouTube.

As I predicted, the term exploded in popularity this year:

Oregon and Washington, two of the country's most prominent ultra-left breeding grounds, being at the top in searches for a place like Breadtube

I can't even begin to tell you the amount of masonry I'm defecating right now

Hi it's ya boy CCP coming to you live once again to recap' Alex's stream and chat again.

Today's lesson: Even though they are a horrible person, don't misgender and/or deadname Jonathan Yaniv because it hurts trans people as a whole.

# times Kiwifarms mentioned: 0

HammableOfCarthage situation: released her latest screed while Alex was streaming and advertised it in the chat. They seem to be attracted to Alex's audience numbers like a moth to a lightbulb.

Hot take of the day: telling a MtF he brought on to debate that he's the trans expert and they have internalized transphobia. YIKES!
After that he brought some young-ass kid on stream and plugged their Fortnite YouTube channel they had a collab on. Gotta get 'em young before they get into the "PewDiePipeline" and become right-wing.

Announcements
  • Breadcraft Live launches 2019-08-17.
  • He will also debate ExtremeDad again on the same day.

"Fuck people who dox [like Jonathan Yaniv did to Blaire White]"

I'll be working on a proper OP this weekend.

LMAO, someone posted a response video telling Oliver to read Ayn Rand to learn how to stop being a doormat:

I disagree though. There was an economic motive for his refusal to break up with this woman, not just a philosophical value judgement. Oliver said that his girlfriend had a rather demanding job ("she had a lot going on"), and that he had more free time on his hands than her (that allowed him to be a content creator), which probably means that she was working more than he did in order to contribute to the living expenses that they shared as a couple. He said that she would come home drunk and want to have sex, which to me suggests that she had a rather stressful job and was using alcoholism and sex as a pressure valve. Oliver says that they argued over his Youtube account, perhaps this was because the girlfriend thought that Oliver should stop wasting his time online and get a job so he can contribute more financially, taking some of the workload off of her.

He also said that his "bills doubled" when she left, which is a very strong indicator that he was indeed dependant on his girlfriend to pay (part of) the bills. He alluded to the fact that one of the reasons he was able to kick her out was because he was finally making enough money on Patreon to pay the bills on his own, and he proceeds to thank his audience for enabling his financial independence. The fact that they were sharing a household should not be discounted. The cost/benefit analysis here wasn't just emotional/subjective but financial/rational as well.

Yup, David Tennant had to go through something similar.

“After discovering that there was another David McDonald already represented by the actor's union Equity, he took his stage name from Pet Shop Boys frontman Neil Tennant after reading a copy of Smash Hits magazine.[13][14] He later had to legally change his surname to meet SAG rules.[15]

Where does Lindsey Ellis fit into Breadtube? Looking through her thread, apparently Contra attended her wedding, and, according to the soyface thread, was the most normal looking person there?

idk most of what I've seen puts them as anti-anti-SJW so I would imagine that she is treated is an intellectual that didn't do nothin. Only thing I's seen from her recently was some passive aggressive swipes at Mauler and retweeting Harris.

Shaun (of Shaun and Jen) dox:

Sean Monaghan

Greater Manchester

DoB: 6/17/88

Lives with Jennifer Bolton-King.

Proof: Found this video from Manchester Metropolitan University, the University they both attended, of Sean graduating at 23:54 in the video. Quality is low, but it certainly looks like him, and he seems to be the same height as Sean claims to be (6"2). Seems Sean and Jen bought their house in March 2017, and then moved in during the middle of November 2017, according to their social media feeds, although I have heard both intend to move somewhere else once more. Data seems to match official UK records.

She pretends to be an SJW and has done a whole lot of drunken Livestreams with Nyk/ContraPoints, so she's considered a BreadTuber by virtue of her association to Nyk. Nyk privated their drunken Livestream when Lindsay got the job at PBS, because PBS apparently doesn't want the world to know that their presentor is an alcoholic hanging out with other alcoholics in her private life (as if that wasn't abundantly clear from her own public videos)

She has her own thread here on the forum, and these posts I am including below kinda go into her association to BreadTube and the SJW sphere:

Everything else Lindsay shares makes me feel sorry for her. Even when like, Obama became president and she was dancing around drunkenly in DC; what should have resembled revelry just looked unhappy and hollow. She's a funny gal, but there's a bottomless bitterness about her that just taints all of her creative endeavors.

She's kinda dobson esque in her flaws, she's got the skills and drive to do something but she just can't quite make it click because she keeps fucking up or dicking around. Her politics isnt her biggest problem because of her stances, the issue is it's complete poison to her established fanbase and she's no where near naunced or insightful enough to actually do academic presentations in a way which would interest that audience.

She also needs to get the fuck of twitter and downplay her association with the basement posey because it's a career suicide attempt everytime she gets in an autistic slap fight or engages in unproffesional bitchyness with her clique. She also needs to figure out if she's happy in the net indie scene or if she wants to go to the big leagues and start shaping her career as such.

Lindsay, at least IMHO, seems to be pretty hate-worthy for being a shallow, rather untalented SJW who forces her views on others, just to get attention, rather than to improve her own self worth and get somewhere with her craft that isn't the internet. No one in Hollywood or other denizens of the media are going to want, let alone should want to work with this bitch, honestly.

I should really do a post about her Twitter thread where she hilariously claimed that most of the early film critics were women. I am still trying to find those tweets, I think I still have them saved somewhere. It was the most ridiculous thing.

Is there a reason why Breadtube is so popular in Australia?
Every Australian I've met outside of imageboards has been an insufferably smug lefty. I think it has to do with the commodity-driven economy of Australia not producing a true professional middle class until very recently, so everyone over 40 is basically the equivalent of your crass redneck dad. In that context, adopting smug lefty politics from the coastal United States seems to be one way that young Australians can 'rebel' against their bogan elders.

That's my hypothesis anyway.
