It still helps repair the damage done, because anywhere he goes from now on, he can show that video of his accusers admitting they lied about him. Other than the obvious emptyheaded autists, who in their right mind is EVER going to believe the claims against him after that? And more importantly... who the fuck would ever listen to Monica, Ron, and Jamie ever again?

You'd be surprised. Most companies are filled with extremely left wing personnel in decision making or critical positions. I think that was evidenced with Tammy and Sony.

Also on who would believe Jaime and the others again. Everyone who sided with them, which again, includes alot of left wingers in good corporate positions. Vics best option is probably to use any money he makes to start up his own business and also to make a settlement with Funi and other dubbing companies etc to give him back all his recurring roles (like Broly and Qrow)

Many people already answered but to add on a particularly important tidbit, one of the definitions of "actual malice" is reckless disregard for the truth, as in taking a story from someone with brain damage at face value when the story is the exact same story which fits your ex boyfriend.

This, taking this information in the best possible light for the defendants, in the worst possible light it proves or supports the claims of civil conspiracy, tortious interference and defamation.
MALICE, BITCH!
Malice! Malice everywhere!
Even Soye admitted in his depo that he believes things 100% without regarding the actual truth of the matter. That is in definition, malice because he recklessly disregarded the truth.

Do we have an official confirmation for that? Just want to know what to source when I show my list of shit Monica made the fuck up.
I can't remember but one of Nick's streams he said that Ty told him that she was straight up lying. I'm assuming he contacted Sentai and they confirmed it for him. That and Vic has worked there as recently as 2017 I'm pretty sure despite Monica trying to say he was banned back in like, 2012 or something

The stuff about Monica dating Illich was uncovered months ago. Senpais Home apparently has a video on it from way back in March:

Here's the tweet from Monica confirming it that someone archived back in May.

His Twitter handle is @ilichg but the account is protected. Monica hasn't tweeted at him recently, but there are several from 2013 - 2014.

Nick will probably mention it, but it's probably not something to occupy an entire show. The weird part is that Illich even worked for FUNImation so you'd think they'd be familiar with the story.

QROW ain't gonna happen. They already recast and may even start recording lines soon given that RWBY volumes usually drop a couple months from now.

If they recast once they can do it again. Even if they don't, he could still ask for roles. RT produces original works so they'll be looking for VAs so he could just add it as part of his settlement

They didn't even bother doing a show investigation. I think they were actively trying to oust him the same way Funimation was.

Ah shit boys, turns out the story Hanleia sourced to start this whole train wreck wasn’t even about Vic. A literal brain damaged person misattributed it to him.

Outstanding.

More details in the Allison Cooke thread.
Shhh.

Do you hear that?

That's the sound of Funimation collectively shitting their pants.

Unless management at Funi and RT is replaced wholesale, Vic will never work there again. I'd like to believe that there is enough sense left in the current idiots to take the L and deal with it, but I know their type too well. So Vic's career will be elsewhere. And he has enough fans to enrich anyone else that puts profit over agenda.

Hanliea with that heel turns its too bad that the damage is done, she's getting sued no matter what.

I remember that, that was a diversion to make us respect her before throwing vic under the bus. She probably set that up.

Sue her for what exactly? It would cost more than Vic would get in a judgment.

We've been over this. Several times.

If they want to do it, they can. Contracts don't mean shit to them as evidenced by their behavior. And the contract may not make any promises about whether or not they would use the audio tracks.

So if they get sued by September/early October, and they want to settle. They give Vic everything because Otter Media is AT&T's streaming service and they don't need to start HBO MAX off with a million dollars in liability due to a lawsuit.

Matt Hullum releases a statement "We were wrong about Vic Mignona. We believed a Jabba the Hutt (Monica Rial) cosplayer and we were shitty human beings for doing so. To make amends we are hiring Vic back.

Miles Luna protested, at which point I smacked him in his cuck mouth and told him to deal with it. I also yelled at Shannon McCormick for being a bag of dicks.

We will have to postpone the RWBY premier but everyone can agree this is the best solution."

No you foolishly beautiful man,
I was saying that the Japanese lauded ScarJo being in GITS. They don't give a shit about race because she is a very high profile actress. It's a cultural thing.

Here of course its very different. They still harping on her for not apologizing although the tree comments have sealed her fate as the butt of the lulz
That has nothing to do with anything. Audiences in the East are much more shameless about saying "we want hot chicks", whereas in the West SJWs have cowed a lot of people into not wanting to admit that publicly. But the result of this is that Japanese fans are also totally willing to go the "beer advertising" route and buy things like anime simply because the producers hired a hot chick to voice some characters, but they also support the show over there by having said hot chick show up at events and squeal at the fans etc. In the US, no one cares whether the voice actress is hot or not, most people don't really care about the face under the role and the few who do are just glad that it IS a chick.

And again, the ScarJo GitS thing is the same as the Vic thing. In the East, they are glad that people they like are doing a role, in the US, fans more often are angry that people they don't like/want are doing a role. In the East you get both the fujos and the (male) otaku idolizing/objectifying these people, but in the west only girls can do that.

Also, I'm receiving info from someone in the kickvic discord with LJ. Apparently they are trying to fuck Bubbafest and Vic over with copyright claims because they're using official property. Claims of vic using a statue of Broly. I dunno what property Bubbafest is using.

This has caused strife in the discord, with atleast 2 people disagreeing with Lj and her blowing up at them. Apparently the one who voiced disagreement first almost got kicked.

Is there any way we can get someone in that server for archives and screenshots? Just based on PedoMontello being there, it sounds like it would be a GOLD MINE of information to use against them.

I'm confused as to why this particular role comes up every 2-3 pages. I can get why people are pissy at Rooster Teeth over this, but why do so many people want Vic back on this show so bad? A show that even most of its fanbase seems to agree sucks now. Was he the only good actor on the show or something?

It certainly feels like it at this point.

Frankly I think it's best Vic stays away from RT given its current quality, but I can't blame people wanting him to go back to the show. More roles are better.

Yeah, her Banana Fish plushies getting taken as part of a judgement would be funny but I somehow don't think that'd be worth it.

The only strategy that would make any sense in my non-lawyer opinion would involve suing after some proven success with the current suits to induce settlement negotiations, at which point he could just ask for the only thing he's actually wanted: a retraction and an apology, and if a sane lawyer is advising her, that would be accepted immediately. Risky though, as if the ploy doesn't work, you're stuck suing someone whose only worldly possessions are banana fish plushies.

I don't think it's about the attorney costs-- for example, though inherently necessary, Vic is suing people who very much don't have the pockets that Funimation has, in addition to Funimation. BHBH's strategy is either to get Funimation to settle and have the rest of the defendants fight each other, or tie Funimation by way of civil conspiracy so that they'll be doing the payout and then sue the defendants for their share. Alternatively, they'll just each do their own payouts. Likely, though, everyone that isn't Funimation will be sipping lien for a while, and the verdict that leads to that as that itself are meant to be messages sent concerning Vic's judicially determined innocence.

Of course, I'm not a lawyer, but I imagine that the question to be asked is whether or not including people like Saucedo and Cooke in round 2, along with the other people they intend to sue then, will cost more money than its worth. To the untrained eye, if they just included them, whatever additional costs may be justifiable in the interest of being complete with the further shutting down of the joint effort to defame Vic-- and the threat of lawsuit would invariably make Saucedo and Cooke fold into immediate settlement, if only in the form of public apologies and retractions. The former isn't even interested in making #kickvic videos to "dispel information" despite announcing the need for such videos herself, and the latter has been fighting tooth and nail to disassociate herself from the mess she heavily contributed to.

But BHBH would have to be prepared for them not to immediately fold, because it would reflect poorly on them in general but also in the lawsuit if (and this is even if they can, at that point) retract VIP invites from certain parties. While the pleading wouldn't cost much more manpower from the inclusion of such parties, they still need to produce likely specialized interrogatories for them, do depositions for them, and ultimately spend more time deliberating because they have to deliberate about more people-- and if they have to do motions against individual parties, that's more people they have to worry about.

There's a cost-benefit analysis to be done, especially when you're not just worrying about money, but also about the immaterial gains (such as restored reputation). There would also be a monetary risk being taken, if they can't just tie everyone up with a neat bow.

I assume its mainly because RT was smarter (very low bar, but roll with it) than funimation in how they released him so people are just assuming/hoping they reverse their decision. It'd also represent the first/only person or group to basically give a "my bad" in this thing. So I think most people arguing for it more for what it represents rather than specifically for that role. Same thing with people arguing that Toei gonna pull the license for DBS almost entirely so they can recast a non-core character.
