Any way you slice this, it looks incredibly bad for Funimation.

Either they:

1. Didn't investigate anything at all and just called Papa Sony to do it for them
2. Only investigated what Monica brought forward, after Hanleia's tweet
3. Investigated all of it, and intentionally/willfully ignored the evidence against Monica/Hanleia's claim

None of those are good looks for Funimation. Some of those even frame it like Funimation are attempting to bury their heads in the sand to shuck blame onto Sony, which I'm sure Sony is going to love.

Boy, I hope whatever woke points they scored were worth that 2 months of e-pats. They're about to leave a crater that will be viewable from space at this rate.
But it still doesn't look good for vic

The only thing I can say to the Funi VA's that sided with Kickvic, you dumb motherfuckers, I hope you enjoy lying on the shit bed you made. I knew something was suspicious from the beginning. Couldn't hurt to give people who get falsely accused some benefit of the doubt. Just gotta jump on the witchhunting bandwagon.

I was going to make an Exterminatus joke, so I googled it to make sure I spelled it right... then it hit me.
This entire Lawsuit, by definition, is an Exterminatus:

'"Exterminatus is the most extreme method of dealing with some form of heresy, corruption or alien infiltration which has taken root within a planet's population. Accordingly, it is only used in the most extreme of circumstances, when the level of corruption a world bears is so monumental that it cannot be wiped out by any other means. The destruction of the entire population is deemed necessary to prevent the contagion from spreading further."

The male VA'S have no idea how dangerous it is being in this industry now.

If eating a jellybean and rustling someone's hair, can create an internal investigation by sony for you to lose your livelyhood.

The whole thing that has happend to vic because of the defendants is going to change convention scenes and fan interactions completely.

They have singlehandedly destroyed vics reputation and the fans interactions as a whole in this industry.

Congratulations you fucking idiots

So kickvic are comparing vic to homelander and I'm like how are they the same.

I've said this so many times that this situation is stupid this is no ordinary stupidity they've gone beyond that to super stupid god super stupid levels I hope Ty is aware that it was about Ilich not vic and Vic lets him go scorch to Ill rain on these fuckers.
Kickvic keep proving me wrong at first I was like they cant be this stupid.theyve all gone past levels of normal stupidity.

I'm surprised I've held up my anger for so long without going on a sperg on twitter myself but as a convention staffer myself for a con next month not going on a full on attack on these fools.

Do these people just compare everything to whatever media they just consumed?
these people are the embodiment of the consume product meme

just add a part of throwing up and regurgitating shit everywhere from product when it doesn't apply and its perfect.

So cons are no longer cosplays and artist alleys and fun Q&A panels? Just corporate schlock about new releases? Bold prediction, anime fandom going back underground to the age of Toonami.

Tbh, and this'll make me sound like a hipster fag, I think a lot of problems anime and the community has has a bit to do with the fact that it's become so mainstream and oversaturated. The increased exposure has opened it up to...unsavory things and people. That's just my opinion though and I'm an old broad who remembers toonami and the good old days when anime was just coming to it's own here in 'Murica.

And I remember being 13 and seeing the early YouTubers go on and on about the evils of 4Kids, like watching fansubs was some kind of conscripted duty.

It’s basically a monkey paw’s scenario. People wanted anime to be seen as something as mainstream as American TV and movies or former nerd niches like comics, rather than just spiky haired guys screaming or tentacles raping women.
They eventually got their wish, anime and manga are slowly but surely outselling American media...but at what cost.

I still doubt that anime is anything resembling mainstream. The only times I remember anime ever being mainstream are Pokemania in the late 90s and when Spirited Away won the Best Animated Feature Oscar in 2003. Even The Big Bang Theory, the mainstreams go to for nerd shit, didn't really touch anime.

4Kids really was shit though. They took anime and dumbed it down to make it appear as a kids show and some of the censoring just looked dumb. Americans saw that anime was drawn and just thought because they "looked like cartoons" that they should be handled the same way. Pretty sure Yugioh is a hundred times cooler when you don't edit out the guns and make the characters stand there looking stupid with their hand in a weird ass way.

That can apply to almost all forms of media that don't have a lot of popularity. If something goes on for too long and becomes more popular, it also becomes easier for it to destroy itself. You know?
