I could see FUNImation wanting to completely distance themselves from this mess entirely and they're certainly not under any obligation to help out Ron or Monica. They could probably do something that would help those idiots, but I don't think that they will.
I'm not even sure Führer J Sean Lemoine needs payment or any encouragement to do it. He seems to be doing a fine job all by himself.

Lemonhead is probably just that garbage tier. Someone who pulled up his cases said that he currently has something like five TCPA motions undergoing appeals. If Fuhrer J Sean Lemoine has a specialization in TCPA motions, it seems like his specialty is for losing.
My pet theory is that Casey was looking for a way to rid himself of these clients because he started to see what a shit show this was going to be. Lemonhead works at the same firm that Andrea's alcoholic boyfriend does, so there's a bit of connection. Maybe she talked to her boyfriend about the case and he decided to help her dump them on Führer J Sean Lemonine out of some form of personal dislike for the man, which wouldn't exactly be hard to believe.
Or maybe he just specializes on taking on loser cases and running up the billable hours on clients that will insist upon this stupid course of action and even agree to it in writing after bering told that it may not be the best way to proceed. He might not always get paid in full up front, but if he knows how to collect it hardly matters.
I'm going to laugh for fucking days and days when the TCPA gets denied & Jdolph finds out. He's going to lose his fucking mind. Better yet if Ty actually files sanctions & wins.
Either Jdolph doubles down & expects to go to the end, hoping to win then. Or every firm drops them within days.

Most of the people I knew who were in the mortgage business ended up with investment in real estate. A mortgage officer is in the perfect position to get inside info from banks and realtors on properties that can be had at great prices, i.e. foreclosures, estates, etc. MoRonica also came into an unknown sum of cash when they sued their landlord for black mold. They may very well have invested that money in real estate.Is it possible that MoRonica does not have a lot of liquid assets right now, but left some attorneys holding some collateral in lieu of payment until the case is settled or ended?
At any rate, Beard knows how to find any hidden assets if and when Vic wins his suit. I dont worry about MoRonica's attys getting paid, not my problem. I do, however, trust that Ty will be able to ferret out assets that any of the defendants may be attempting to hide. Who knows? That search for assets may bring us a whole new hilarious arc to this cautionary tale.

Although this is a scenario more fit to fantasy than reality, I would say Sony. They've got pockets deep enough. Although a job offer after the case is over would be more enticing as its a separate entity that is large enough to hide him away in a manner to conceal an appearance of impropriety. And would explain his zeal for a case in which he is unlikely to see much payment. I could see Sony execs instructing Funi staff to encourage them to seek a hand-picked "specialist" who, through poorly worded documents and asinine "witnesses" and make the other defendants look so exceptional they could shake off vicarious liability.
And for those asking if its an ethics violation, it sure is, but lemontits hasn't really shown himself to be a bastion of integrity.
But, as I said, this is too fantastic to have occurred. Sony is too rich, with too many competent attorneys to even consider this as a viable option. Especially considering the number of autistic weebs following it and how much time they spend obsessively looking at details.
