Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

As much as Lucas had his flaws, he was very good with creativity, imagery, and other types of effects.
As a testament to this, I've always liked this video from the making of Revenge of the Sith, he knows what he likes when he sees it, and he usually sees where there is potential
It seems rather apparent why the imagery in the Lucas movies remain striking even in the ones with weaker scripts

Ewan McGregor is apparently set to return for a solo show for Disney+.

Part of me is happy for McGregor, part of me is worried he’s got a shit show working against him.
Yep its happening...
I'd be happy for McGregor if not for the fact that Disney has proven that there's no reason for me to trust them when it comes to making anything Star Wars-related, especially since they'll probably use this show to shill the sequels somehow or have it so Kenobi plays second banana to a female jedi or space pirate who teaches him how to survive on Tatooine...

I'm not trusting them because they've lied over and over about things being made and then watch as they cancel them or never actually make them; they're faking success because their corporate culture is that toxic. I'm not trusting them because they're acting just like the idiots behind Star Trek: Discovery, which we know for a fact did not own the IP and only had licensing. The removal of characters and a fairly reliable leak highlighting this especially verifies this for me.

I'm not trusting them because they've character assassinated every old character as much as possible, even Leia to a degree (despite trying to use her as a conduit to force Dead Bitch down our throat outside of film). Obi-Wan is going to be ruined far harder than the prequels ever tried to, since Ewan did a damn good job with bad directing (sorry George, but you're a better producer and storyboarder). I don't trust them because the current crop working at the Mouse has proven to me they're inept fucks who can't do a single thing right.

I'm calling BS on this and see this as them desperately trying to build hype for a series they killed. Until D23 kicks in and we see what's what, treat this as the Mouse and their cronies lying openly.

He really deserves a lot of great material. They’ll find a way to fuck it up.

Oh gee, Rian is talking about his SW films again and that it won't feature Legacy characters and will have little to do with Star Wars... Imagine my surprise...
Only thing of interest in this article is the implication that D&D's KOTOR trilogy (or whatever it may end up being) may be released in December 2022... I don't think I can put up with another 5 years of Disney crap... I really can't.

Only way we see this nightmare ends is if Episode IX underperforms hard. Oh, Rian’s trilogy will get scrapped the second his new movie torpedoes Lionsgate.

Seriously, episode IX has so much riding on it (to anyone who isn't a blindly adoring NuWars cultist), that I don't know how deluded/out of touch Lucasfilm producers have to be to think further project announcements are going to be considered with anything but massive grains of salt by the fanbase.
You cucks couldn't even publicly commit to which of the controversial-as-fuck directors with massive baggage among their fans are ostensibly directing the next trilogy of your franchise: Rian Johnson or David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Like hell you're putting any money into an Obi-Wan series before January 2020.

Off-topic but I found this book while cleaning my house. Really brings back fond memories.

Ah yes, a charming little cookbook about making wookiee cookies and Skywalker Smoothies with real m;lk... Part of goofy but happier times... Unlike Disney's new upcoming Galaxy's Edge cookbook that teaches you how to make green titty soy m;lk and organic dirt snacks while reminding you to buy a fresh bottle of Coke...

Poor guy, he'll be blamed for the inevitable failure by the Disney-paid media and its shills...

Kenobi plays second banana to a female jedi or space pirate who teaches him how to survive on Tatooine...
This will happen. Obi-Wan will arrive at Tatooine and a strong-willed, confident woman will order him around and show him the ropes of living a normal live. Obi-Wan will get into trouble with some sand-people and the female character will lecture him that he, as a white male intruder, is the problem and the peaceful sandpeople-amazon-warriors were just defending themselves from him. Also, there will be some sort of "check your privilege"-like chastising going on constantly.

The show will flop and we'll see the re-emergence of the shit that we saw after Solo: "Fans don't want a white male lead!"

Edit: I expect them to play up the "Obi-Wan is a privileged aloof Jedi from Coruscant" angle like crazy and constantly have him fail in everyday situations, pretending like a Jedi knight is some fatcat capitalist with a butler, who's endlessly dumbfounded by the existence of menial work. Can't wait for prissy "Oh no, I cracked a nail!"-Kenobi.

That cover looks almost like that shit was cooked by Jack Scalfani. All it would need to be perfect would be blood dripping and uncooked meat dangling out of it.

I saw this on Twitter earlier. It's from the Dr Aphra comics and apparently they have no editor to proof-read the scripts.

There goes my migraine again... Its like teaming Sauron up with one of the cast members from FRIENDS...

But on the bright side, Dr. Aphra's sales have dipped tremendously since the early days of her spinoff. For example here is the data of her first issue and how many units it sold during its 2016 debut.

The second issue however only sold around 61,000 units.

Currently though, every 1 or 2 months she loses about 1000 buyers.

Her first issue for 2018 sold about 30,000 units, but her last issue for 2018 only sold 24,000, then 2 months later it was down to 23,000, then 2 months later she dropped to 22,000, then 2 months later 21,000, so she'll be down to 20,000 once the results for the August issue comes in.

But now that Loot Crate is gone, we might see a bigger drop in numbers than before in the coming two months. Aphra is currently the lowest selling ongoing series, with the main SW comic and Vader comics selling around 40,000 units, and the Galaxy's Edge mini series still selling around 30,000. The original lowest selling comic was the Poe comic series, but it was canned in 2018. Although all of this is insignificant compared to the hundreds of thousands (and initially million) of units the SW comics were pushing before 2016.

There's no reason for Vader not to snap her neck right there.

I think the reason why the comic sales dipped is because people lost interest when Aphra wasn't working with Vader. I actually read this comic, and the little quality there was nose dived when the original story arc ended. It honestly should have ended with Vader chucking Aphra out the airlock, rather than Aphra miraculously knowing that would happen rather than getting cut in half with a lightsaber
