Not only are people making up shit and giving out contradictory details about the incident, but no one even bothered finding out Mari Iijima’s thoughts about. No one asked her. I discounted Shane's letter because during the V2 director commentary Monty Oum said "The Star Wars prequels sucked because no one told George Lucus "No.' I don't want to be like George Lucus. If my ideas suck I want to be told."

Shane then wrote a 36 page letter saying "IT'S NOT MONTY'S VISION!"

1. Sounds like Shane took MONTY'S word as gospel truth.

So Shane turned Monty into something he would have hated.

Another problem is that now I have some worries about the themes of RWBY.

The 80's D&D cartoon had a jerkass paladin whose job was to be wrong so the group would be right.

RWBY's main theme is "United we stand, divided we fall."

In V3, Blake and Yang lost to Adam because the fought desperately.
Ozpin died because he fought alone.
Pyrrha died fighting alone. (The scene as originally written would bring up questions about "should the strong help the weak.)
Maria Calabera lost her eyes because she fought alone.
Qrows independent huntsmen died because they fought alone.

RWBY seems to have some fascist undertones.

Now I have some qualms about what Miles political beliefs are. Miles, are Nahtzi's people who disagree with you? If there was an Austin Antifa group, would you be out LARPing in home made riot gear? Would you be throwing milkshakes at people?

Now I'm not saying that Newville was a case of "Cyclops was Right" type of shit, and even mention that he was biased as fuck but maybe just maybe there was something of truth in his words, despite the letter being too much of placing Monty on a pedestal.

Child predator go where there are children. Teachers, clergy, scoutleaders, etc. There is nothing inherent to any of those jobs that makes them into child predators. But those jobs attract child predators since they have access to and influence over kids. Anime cons have kids and teens, often without adult supervision, private hotel rooms, and booze. Getting into that industry is ideal for pedos because it gives them prime hunting grounds.

And it seems lots of the people in that industry are willing to look the other way so long as you agree with them politically and you hang out.

Mari is in a weird spot. She's caught in a pincer between ISWV and KV. She wants no drama. But she can be the catalyst for all this if she spills the beans. I made a post a few pages back pondering how funny it would be if they weren't ultimately connected to a pedo ring. But all kidding aside, you make a really good point.
