The KKK definitely met the definition. They were murdering random people and people connected to civil rights stuff in an attempt to terrorize their opposition into giving up.

You don't have to use big bombs to be a terrorist. Hell, you don't even have to kill anyone.

The KKK hasn't been involved in terrorist acts since the 1980s. Also, despite what most people believe, there is no one KKK but rather several different organizations operating as successors to the Second KKK, which if I'm not mistaken dissolved in the 1960's.

You are correct. The Second Klan was a national organization that rose and fell during the 20's, I think it officially splintered in the 40's into the various branches that were involved in fighting the Civil Rights Movements.

Also, apparently Wikipedia claims that Klan membership quintupled from 2016 to 2017, for which they have absolutely no sources. Sounds pretty much like muh "OMG Orange Man's election created spike in White Supremacy" narrative from the fags at TOW.
