I'm not sure contrarians are inherently bad.
I think it's better to have people with different allignments argueing their own actual opinions, granted it all hinges upon the quality of their insights.

I thoroughly enjoy having ron around. It's good to take the piss out of people/things, and I can overlook the contradictions for a good laugh no matter the subject/context.
