Okay, so hopefully this thread isn't as "shit".

Why do you guys bother with harassing and talking about Christine? There are much more morally corrupt, and much funnier people to discuss on this forum.
In my opinion, the hate against Christine is unjustified. And yes, I've read the CWCki, I know the worst of it.

Nobody here is harassing him, if you think this is Trolling Central you're 10 years late. Interacting with Chris is frowned upon, you'd know that if you had bothered to lurk just a tiny bit.

People will talk about whatever they want and Chris has an enormous Internet footprint which continues to bring in new members, so much that you could call it a sub-culture in its own right. He's kind of a star. People discussing him here is no different than people sperging endlessly about their favorite celebrities.

Most fans would never harass Christine. I personally enjoy Sonichu and all that but I think stuff like Bluespike (while kinda funny) went way too far. The way I've heard it described usually is that the prime directive should always apply. You can watch someone do weird shit, you can laugh about it, share it and document it but you must never directly interact with them in any way. Ideally, they should never even know they were ever a lolcow.

To me the only thing that justifies it is the fact that there are numerous examples where Chris has fucked up his own life completely independently of any internet instigation.

Like, of course people are going to do a double take when they learn the same guy who draws manic semi-autobiographical 'comics' is also the same person who pepper sprayed a GameStop employee over the colour of Sonic's arms. That's just objectively interesting.

It's interesting, it's sad, it's complicated, it's funny. That's an underlying part of the whole CWC phenomenon, is that it's not a cut and dry issue. Trolls are not blameless, but neither is Chris, and nor are his parents.

At the very least, I think Chris's story is an important one for all kids moving forward. It's a story of how the internet can consume your life if you let it. Its a story of how people use the internet, whether it's for self destruction of the destruction of others. And it's a story about the ramifications that the internet can have on one singular person.

Its a story of how people use the internet, whether it's for self destruction of the destruction of others. And it's a story about the ramifications that the internet can have on one singular person.

May I add that it is also a good story for high school seniors and college students to show them how fast your life can go downhill if you aren't mature enough to handle things. Also a good intervention for folks with slight developmental issues.
