Nick Rekieta's Weeb Wars videos & livestreams - MULTIPLE SLURS

Nick either needs to cut back the 5 days a week streams when there isn't any interesting topics, or get off his fucking ass and find some other funny lawsuits to talk about. He's doing a Speed Racer mimic of following The Gunt legacy--harping on Mundane Matt/Sargon. Expand nigga.

He's been cutting back, He only had 3-4 streams last week. His content has been slipping a lot, partially because of the lull in the case and likely to cool the public unrest on twitter.

The only streams he's had recently have been shill-fests, or sperg-fests. Even Ty's stream was mostly a snoozefest.

I kinda miss the times he's had guests that bring any value to his stream, or when he just y'know, reviews law stuff. There's plenty of interesting cases going around, even a few drama-filled ones.

I know he seemed a bit salty the other day on Ty's stream, 10 minutes in and he remarked how the stream was already demonetized.

He's allowed to have a a stream or two a month playing games and doing silly shit.

I see a lot of armchair quarterbacking without realizing that maybe, just maybe, Nick's a bit thankful about having a little rest time to do other things (like go to Road Rage, have his friends on to give them some help, etc.). Nick's been constantly on the go for the last couple of months, and since there is very little action in both big suits right now, it's good for Nick to do lower-key stuff.

I think it's mostly when I see ungrateful sots like Immaculate Ape, who seem to be very thirsty for action all the time and ragging on Nick for having chill streams when they're kinda needed, that my hackles get up. Yes, LolSuit and Weeb Wars did get Nick to over 70K, but Nick's gonna do what Nick's gonna do and no one is gonna say otherwise, no matter how much complaining anyone does.

Remember what Nick says, "No one controls my stream but me. Not Vic, not Zack, not anyone."

Don't be an A-Logging nigger. This isn't a "Nick appreciation thread."

Just remember the last time that people said "Fuck the viewers/consumers, I'm the creator here" we got ComicsGate.

I don't care if you want to fansperg over someone who literally doesn't even know you exist, let alone cares a fuck about you; If he isn't consistent and entertaining, he's going to disappear when he's no longer relevant and considering how many times he's stated how he's numbers driven, that likely means if he's not making the $, he just won't stream anymore.

But by all means, keep getting your jimmies rustled about what people have to say on the internet.

Heh Beta cam.

Do we have any idea what the person who contacted Nick said? Or has that person only contacted Nick and has not made a public post about anything?

You have a lot of weird takes, I'm not going to lie. I *work* with the guy and you're speaking like you know him.

Nick does the streams for fun, and to talk about things he wants to talk about. It's not a streaming house with a line up of streamers where every topic is weighted and researched to give the most viral outcome to the channel. You just put on a show and then you do the bare essentials to drive and optimize traffic and treat what you're doing a business. If you're going to do anything in life, you may as well do it correctly.

Shit's not rocket science. It's YouTube.

Don't be a faggot when every stream isn't sung to high praise. Nobody gives a shit that you make thumbnails for him. If people find the shit boring or think it's slipping, we'll talk about it.

Do I like Nick? Yea. Do I think these streams are off the "rocket science" of entertaining YouTube? Yea. He'll do what he wants and the people here will do the same.

I do quite a bit more than make thumbnails.

I'm not talking about if people find the streams boring, the idea of "Fuck the fans, I'm in it for money" and being "numbers driven" makes it sound like all it is, is a cash grab. It comes across as people just wanting to play Armchair Prophet and speak some gospel or divine truth by predicting the future using factors they think they understand. Tearing the heart out of a goat saying it'll bring great rain this season isn't exactly that much different in mindset to what Ape's putting out.

For those commenting on Nick's streams being boring or uninteresting, I have been looking over his old streams. Two different things are at play here, and I believe I've got a good idea of the specific problems:

1. Nick, during this Vic situation, amped up the number of streams to cover all the extra content. Where he used to be on the fringe, not broadcasting every week day, filling episodes with drama from around the internet, now he's been specialized on mostly Vic related stuff for months. He's been set into the mold of being relevant every night, and specializing in the Vic case. It's hard to deviate.

2. Many of the relevant people he used to have on have sunk themselves. Jim just got nuked off dlive, the Ralph Retort sank into a sea of gunt, Doug is busy flinging shit at EVS and drawing every day. Sriracha hasn't been on since January. Peachsaliva is usually incoherent that time of night. Null isn't the best guest to have on due to controversy surrounding the farms. Plus most of Nick's Twitter convos are now about assblasted internet lawyers. Hardly worth mentioning.

Things will pick up again. Internet hilarity is a booming business, and chances are high Beard's reply to the TCPA will drop in the next week. We just have to be patient.

It may just be that Nick himself just realized that we're actually, truly, against all odds, in a lull with WW until the TCPA responses and hearing, and he has to adjust to that reality.

I think I mentioned this last week (and Nick said that he'd be doing so), but he could do more topical videos in the meantime along with/instead of streams in said lull. If they're not necessarily profitable (and it doesn't appear that he'd care too much ultimately), then they're at least entertaining by virtue of their incisiveness, and they also contribute to keeping up attention.

I'm expecting a post-Bubba Fest stream to review the happenings that occur at the convention next week (I don't know if he'll stream during the convention, though).
