It is not in any way a practical weapon. It's a Fantasy weapon. If you ever tried to use it in a fight you would hurt yourself.

There's a reason two handed weapons like long swords, spears and staffs don't have guards that go directly over your hands and limit your range of motion.

It's often not even just memory bias--just straight-up lying, or stretching a truth until its silly putty. Take: "Vic Mignogna took a picture with my friend at a con". Now it's: "Vic Mignogna slid his hand down to grab my friend's cousin's sister's ass and whispered something sexual in nature into her ear".

These incredibly pathetic people know that the eyewitness testimony is the most persuasive, loaded gun you can bring into a case. It's pretty obvious that because of someone like a Monica Rial, who has more eyes on her than the average female weeb, and is a general nest for them, saying something like Vic Mignogna sexually assaulted her easily contaminated the memories of those who once had quaint interactions with him. That alleged assault we know is now likely false and has thus created a misinformation effect, on top of an already established standalone complex. Those who already had negative evaluations of Vic based on emotional impressions like "Vic hates gays" were already diligently believing in alternative facts. A lot of this case for the defendants and their supporters has simply been just cherry-picking and twisting facts to fuel their motivated reasoning. "Women of sexual assault should always be believed and heard", "The victim is always right", etc. Their hopes, fears, and personal politics skew that scale of reasonability into accepting misinformation as true so long as it supports what they want to believe.

Like I've said before: this case isn't even about "finding the truth". This is about winning an argument. They don't want to be wrong, so badly that they're willing to throw reason and caution to the wind to achieve that. It's why I think Vic winning this case won't do anything to those in KV. Even with their beliefs totally refuted by a court of law, they will fail to make the appropriate changes in those beliefs.
