You can't just go to Supreme Court. You have to appeal through all the lower courts first. Last I heard Melinda was thrown out of the lowest court.

She actually has, she had her lawsuit thrown out in federal district court, appealed to the 4th district, lost there too, and then appealed to SCOTUS.
