A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

Children as young as three could be helped to change gender by doctors on the basis of just a Skype phone call under plans being considered by the NHS.

A controversial clinic, which helps thousands of children to change gender every year, says that it has become so overwhelmed by patients that it could be forced to set children on a path to a new sex on the basis of 'telemedical' appointments.

The startling development is likely to cause an outcry among critics of the clinic's work, who will argue that it is impossible to evaluate a child's suitability for such radical treatment over the phone.

Internal reports produced for the directors of the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS), run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, argue that without such radical changes the clinic could be forced to shut down due to an exodus of demoralised staff.

The plan for sex change by Skype comes as the clinic faces growing pressure from psychologists who say it uses untested drugs on troubled children and 'rushes' them towards becoming transgender.

Last year 2,590 children were referred to the clinic, a rise of more than 400 per cent since 2013, leading to a two-year waiting list.

Ten of the children were aged three or four and dozens more were of primary-school age. The treatment includes giving the children hormone-blocking drugs.

The GIDS reports, which have been seen by this newspaper, reveal that the clinic has started testing 'some of the practicalities involved in identifying young people and families to be considered for treatment appointments delivered with telemedicine'.

It uses technology such as Skype and FaceTime to allow doctors to diagnose and prescribe treatment for patients hundreds or thousands of miles away.

The reports, which were presented to the directors last month, reveal that publicity about the clinic's work has led to a surge in demand for its services and an increase in waiting times, leading to a growing burden on staff.

The report warns that the situation was becoming so serious that 'the service could be decommissioned by the NHS'.

Last night, a spokesman for the Tavistock and Portman Trust said: 'Using digital technologies to increase efficiency and to enhance patient experience where appropriate is an area of development across the NHS.

'The Trust is working to minimise waiting times and make clinical support easier to access, including eliminating travel time for young people and their families, which will also allow us to offer appointments earlier and later in the day.

'As with the rest of the NHS, innovations like telemedicine are an addition and will not mean the removal or inability to access face-to-face consultations.

'The Trust and GIDS welcome all open and informed discussion and decision-making around the best way to support young people experiencing difficulties or distress around their gender identity.'

An NHS source said that NHS England 'would continue to work with the Trust and the service to seek changes that will address waiting times and support continued improvement of the service delivered'.

I have done skype doctor thing do mental health reasons (nothing do with trans stuff) and I can tell you that’s it’s not the same thing to meeting a doctor face to face. Even just as patient you loose so much body language that it’s hard communicate about these problems and then there are all sorts of practical issues. My case was pretty routine checkup type thing and this was still way more awkward than regular doctor. There is the hole talking to screen, trying to stay in camera and nagging feeling that technical issues could end this suddenly. The doctor couldn’t give me depression survey (pretty standard diagnosis tool) but had to instead ask a nurse give me the papers afterwards and then send them to her. Ultimately it got job done but I can’t see it working for actual diagnosing. Especially with younger kids whose issues could be completely caused by their parent, it’s super important to see the body language and interactions.

Lawrence, Massachusetts, US – A transgender youth, who seven months ago urged locals to vote “yes” on a veto referendum enabling those who identify as transgender to access locker rooms and similar facilities designated for the opposite sex, has now been slapped with sexual exploitation of child and distribution of child pornography charges.

Jakob Nieves, a 19-year-old man who identifies as a woman named Dakota, is accused of raping a four-year-old girl and sharing the images with an undercover agent.
19-year-old Jakob Nieves, a man who identifies as a woman, “did knowingly employ, use, persuade, induce, entice and coerce” a four-year-old girl “to engage in any sexually explicit conduct” with him “for the purpose of producing any visual depiction of such conduct,” court records show.

Mr Nieves began exchanging messages with another person in a Kik group created for those interested in trading images of pedophilia. Kik is a mobile messaging app.

As the chat progressed, Mr Nieves allegedly shared with the conversation partner images of a small child performing indecent acts on his penis.

Unbeknownst to Mr Nieves, the conversation partner was an undercover federal agent. His transfer of photos portraying him engaged in illegal acts with a minor sparked a federal investigation, according to the criminal complaint.

On August 14, federal agents obtained a warrant to search the home of Mr Nieves, which is located on the 200 block of Lawrence Street. The search produced a phone, which agents say contains photos and videos of Mr Nieves sexually violating a minor girl.

Christina DiLorio-Sterling, spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling, says Mr Nieves admitted to agents during the search that he had made and distributed the obscene material.

If convicted on both counts, Mr Nieves faces anywhere from 20 and 50 years behind bars, up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.

Mr Nieves is being held in federal custody.

Las Perlas bar in Los Angeles apologized for the incident on Facebook Sunday and said a new security staff — one that has received sensitivity training — is being hired.

"Our first and primary concern, and has been from day one, is to operate a safe place for all people," the bar posted. "Period, no exceptions. We regret that didn't happen Friday night, and want to apologize to all of our guests, including the Transgender community, a community who has come to our bar as well as works there." The Los Angeles Police Department said on Twitter it is investigating the incident. "Whether in public, or inside of a private establishment, all Angelenos deserve the freedom to coexist in harmony," the LAPD tweeted Sunday. Video of the altercation went viral over the weekend.

The footage shows one person being carried out of Las Perlas. It then pans to a woman, identified by The Washington Post and the L.A. Times as Jennifer Bianchi, shouting, "Don't touch me like that," before she is shoved into a wall. Bianchi shoves back and says she needs her shoe before she's carried out as well.

A third woman is put into a chokehold before being forced out.

The incident was recorded by Khloe Rios, according to multiple outlets. Rios is the manager of Transgeneros Unidas with Bienestar Human Services, a Los Angeles-based organization focused on "identifying and addressing emerging health issues faced by the Latino and LGBTQ populations."

The caption on the Facebook post that shared video of the incident said a group of coworkers from Bienestar Human Services was celebrating participation in DTLA (Downtown Los Angeles) Proud.

A couple at Las Perlas began calling the group "transphobic slurs," which led to an argument. Bar security got involved at that point.


“They were saying that we are not women, that we do not belong there, that we should get out,” Perez-Rios told the Washington Post. “That this was not a bar for us.”

The L.A. Times reported the group filed a hate crime report. By Saturday, there were protests outside the bar and calls for a boycott.

Cedd Moses, CEO of Pouring With Heart, which owns Las Perlas, called the event a "rare and unfortunate incident" in a Saturday Facebook post on Las Perlas' page. He added both groups were asked to leave after a "verbal altercation" broke out and "the guards removed the guests there were not compliant with the manager's request to leave and did so in accordance with company policy."

He added the bars profits from the weekend would be donated to Bienestar Human Services.

I have read that in women's prisons sometimes there are kiddies in there because their mothers are there and take care them sometimes (correct me if I'm wrong) But if there weren't any kid in there it would be still fuck up.

I have a young family member who unfortunately suffers from a serious mental illness. Her doctor will not even adjust her dose on meds she is taking already without laying eyes on her in person to assess her condition, so the parents have to take her to be seen whenever there is a hiccup in the treatment plan. And that's how it SHOULD be. No one should be giving powerful, mind-altering and life-altering drugs to a kid who they haven't at least personally observed for 50 minutes+.

Absolutely, in all cases of serious mental illness in young children there should be evaluations of the kid with parents, the kid without parents and just parents without the kid. The parents’ influence is absolutely huge for both good and bad. Also some subjects are eather really awkward or inappropriate to talk front a kid or a parent so to get bottom of things this is often necessary. Heck my brother who was born with serious physical birth defeat (he is mentally perfectly normal) had both independent and parents there evaluations so it’s not like this would be anything new.
