It's a pretty sad state of affairs frankly but in 2019 if a Triple A western developer comes out with a new or rebooted IP and has a female protagonist it should be sending off warning bells in your brain. 99.9% likely they are trying to market towards the Reeee types.

At least Control looks like a good game overall though, has that going for it compared to something like Youngblood.

For example, Serpent Souls which are needed to purchase the best crafting mats are held by this room filling fucker:

It's also implied that Men can be transformed into female looking demons according to the other big fat demon boss, and the whole casino chapter is dedicated towards beating his ass and turning everyone back.
