Uh, can anyone actually name an actual tranny in an anime?

Powerleveling: Aoi Futaba from You're under arrested, Shuuichi Nitori from Wandering Son, Isabelle from Paradise Kiss, Jun Watarase from Happiness! . These are portrayed with good narrative, there are more from manga.
Then you have Big Mama (doesn't look great but good person nonetheless) and Mermaid sisters from Carole & Tuesday.

Edit:
What's the difference between gender bending and transgenderism? They sound like the same to me, just that one if fantasy that can't happen.

Gender bender, but not transgenderism: Ranma, Tanya from Youjo Senki, Souji Mitsuka from Ore Twintail ni Narimasu. So yeah, any anime/manga with boys transform into magical girls.
But it's true that in manga, gender bending and transgenderism overlaps quite a lot, like turning into a girl so a character mind/behaviour also becomes like a girl. I say it's mostly because authors just write a female character in a romance - high school or isekai story but with a twist, she used to be a guy and emphasize how being a girl is so more delicate when being a guy.

Edit 2: In short, any gender bender with character can switch back and forward between 2 genders isn't transgenderism. With characters stuck with their new gender, usually is transgenderism.

There's several transgenders in anime and manga treated with varying seriousness.

There's Grell in Black Butler, Alice in 'Chivalry of a Failed Knight', and somewhat arguably Nuriko in Fushigi Yuugi (though if you wanted to classify him as something other than a crossdresser, he'd likely be considered 'genderfluid'). There's also Luka/Ruka from Steins;Gate who gets a sex change via time travel on purpose because he wants to be a woman, and Lucas/Luca? from the recent Astra anime who's hermaphrodite (at least in the dub he's called 'intersex' and there's a bunch of PC dialog about it), Hideyoshi from Baka no Test, who started out a trap but slowly turned to something else, and one of the Sekirei whose name I can't remember but started out a man and was forcibly turned into a woman by the harem lead.

Then for genderbenders there's Ranma (switches with water) and Rimudo or something like that, the main love interest of Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden (switches whenever he uses his chakra), and a couple others I forget. And some crossdressers who aren't treated like traps.

Yep, from the anime “Carol & Tuesday” a bunch of non-binary men in dresses called the Mermaid Sisters.
Galactic Mermaid
BTW my personal theory is that this scene is a little bit of social cometary on Japan’s part about how they see progressives and SJWs on twitter. Low effort, purposefully shocking, needlessly vulgar, and hopelessly entitled.
When people say that SJWs are going to be able to infiltrate Japan I just show them this.

Then there's the "historical gender bending" popularized by Fate/Stay Night where "Famous Historical Guy was actually a Girl" (IE Saber). And then taken up to eleven by Fate/Grand Order.

Perhaps the most hilarious example there in FGO is Leonardo da Vinci, who actually IS a dude, but took on a girl body based on the Mona Lisa because it was more beautiful when you summon... Him/her. And for all intents and purposes the Fandom sees him as a her.

Unrelated to any of this, but my father asked me what I was reading right now. He's not a weeb and he doesn't know about any of the Vic stuff, so I just told him that this was a forum, and I'm following a lawsuit thats been made amusing because of the actions made by certain parties. Without missing a beat, no hesitation he said "so you're following it because it's entertaining?" How is it that a 60something boomer who has no idea what's going on can have Kiwifarms so pegged on the first go, and yet all these Kickvic people, who know more about how the internet works than my reading glasses newspaper reading old man, are still thinking Null is a terrorist and that this site has FBI level hackers.:story:

There's also Luka/Ruka from Steins;Gate who gets a sex change via time travel on purpose because he wants to be a woman.

Since anime doesn't do Luka route, it's easily to think Luka is trans. In light novel and extended novel, they explore Luka choice and his point of view more. He asked to become a girl because he thought it would be much better, more suitable to his appearance - mannerism, especially able to confess to Okabe and hope Okabe can reciprocate back because Okabe is straight. In that timeline, he does get to be happier, but he lost his best friend and his love one is in depression. Then, either Luka pushes Okabe to reverse the change or let Okabe pursuing Luka so they become lover in the end. In anime (both original and Zero) wise, Okabe can't reciprocate the love back but he still cherish Luka's feelings. Also, Luka uses male pronoun and have Suzuha calling him onii-chan. But that's maybe because Japan doesn't do "using correct pronouns" for trangenders like Westerners.

It's like the author understand hardship of incompatible sexual preferences and want to show sympathy for a gay character, but muh trans representation. I'm saying this because back when the show was aired in 2011, people still call Luka male, until 2018 then I notice this trans interpretation.

Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Apocrypha (Artoria and Mordred) have the most gender focus, with (weak) arguments that can be made for them being transgender or something, as both Artoria and Mordred are screwed up over the fact that they're women when they should be men. Fate/Grand Order is mostly just genderbending for fanservice reasons, where the switch means nothing to the character and/or isn't explored at all. Leonardo da Vinci and Chevalier D'Eon are notable exceptions.

It's probably fine to call Ruka either, as his arc of wanting to be a woman (even though it's really motivated by him feeling like he'd be more 'normal' and would be able to express/live his love for Okabe) is pretty sympathetic. But that's a problem with most potential transgender characters in anime/manga, because Japan doesn't really use gendered pronouns, it's hard to tell how the characters are referring to them. Still, Luca is technically transsexual, as he literally does get a time sex change, and does so on purpose.

That's true enough. Though it's an actual in lore thing that Artoria temporarily got a dick to give birth to Mordred (with Morgan as the mother I believe) because lol Merlin. Meanwhile extra material gives a complex rule that you can't call Mordred a girl or treat her TOO much like a guy if you want to be on her good side.

Ultimately though these were based on general loss of identity and freedom due to circumstances around the character instead of specifically focusing on gender because "muh sexual identity".

And there are so many Saber faces because Takeuchi is so obsessed with Saber lol.

Ok with all this talk about not being able to enjoy dubs anymore which I saw a few pages back, I will propose a solution that will probably make people rate me Autistic.

My proposed solution is that you learn Spanish, then watch Spanish anime dubs, particularly Latinoamerican ones.

Lan dub of Dragon Ball (Z) is really good, also the dubbers from Mexico tend to be some very nice people, at least in conventions. I can only recommend 80s, 90s and 00s animes and Disney movies more recent ones can be hit or miss.

To give an example of how good Mexican dub can be, Friezer in Mexico is both manlier and gayer than LittleKuribo's version, Cell sounds Perfect in his final form and Ursula from Little Mermaid was voiced by a crossdresser.
Eh, not every dubbing company is involved in this mess. It’s mostly confined to Funimation.

She got the dick to try to get an heir with Guinevere, but Morgan either put her to sleep or used an illusion to look like the queen (depending on the time it was written because lol fate) and tricked/raped her to get pregnant. Fate had some heavy stuff early on. Mordred was a part of that, where she was all screwed up about her gender because of Morgan's abuse and societal standards at the time (Mordred could neither be a knight nor a king as a woman, which would strip her of all of her identity).

But true, it all plays into their expectations and utter lack of freedom in their destiny/personhood more than the actual gender part. If you want 'that, but her issues legitimately stem from being a female instead of a male', you'd go to Chris from Princess Waltz.

Or "We're so woke but still lock our doors in 'black territory'"

Have you ever seen a "woke one" doing charity in a soup kitchen in East Baltimore, Forest Park Detroit, Englewood Chicago and so on?
The woke do not need to lock their doors in "black territory" just for the simple fact that almost everyone of them lives in suburbs or Let's say "not very diverse" parts of the town.
They use the blacks to push their agenda, but in reality they are no difference to "your racist uncle Bob", if ya know what I'm saying. They are the same fucking racists just on the left side of the spectrum. Same shit different gravy.
These people are always in favor or the "oh so oppressed", well, until the "oh so oppressed" star moving into their suburb that is.

Yup.

We need definitive arc labels tbh.

I doubt funimation will do shit. Don't forget, it's suspected Sabat gives them a good price to use his studios in return for some degree of administrative power over the casting and dubbing. They do something, and they lose a sweet deal on their recording facilities

These message strings are very interesting. Based on the dialogue, a con photographer? Also wondering who tried to steal the guy's pod

EDIT:

Looks like we might get another MBA video on Vic again pretty soon

I'm going to guess that Mad Black and Geekdom are going to point their fingers at ISWV because of our recent conversations about them. I always wonder whether or not if Mad Black or Geekdom ever set foot into the Farms to look at everything that we have said about anyone in the Vic situation. Including Mad Black and Geekdom themselves.

However, about this screenshot that Mad Black took.

Another case of MBA, not doing any research and blowing his wad at a random comment on YouTube:

He is literally a nobody. His most liked tweet in months has 5 likes, the rest have either no like or 1-3.

EDIT:

Leave it to MadBlack to cling to the words of a raging autist who quiet literally sounds like he has some flavor of down's syndrome (I know because I've heard him on VC on Senpaishome's discord). @damian is correct though, the guy is a complete nobody that anyone on any side should take seriously.

@Eyeshield could you enlighten me on this "fan designer pants" thing?
So one of the theories to Vics designer pants were that they were made by fans. And Vic being Vic, he would wear these pants made for him by the fans to get some exposure for said fan and to show his appreciation of the gift. That's was the main theory though.
