I doubt it. Given Iago is Sabat that seems like a different beast. Sabat is not a good person and that little shit displayed that with one of his private messages. There's also been little stories about him causing some shit. I have a feeling he has something to do with Vic being let go from Funimation. I'll merely say if it ends up he's a rather big monster, I won't be surprised. Right now, all I can really assume is he hates Vic and was all for getting him fired and had some influence to do it. I doubt he cares that much about Monica and was more getting at Vic. Doesn't give me the impression of a dumb follower like Marchi or Schemmel.

Schemmel and Marchi seem like the type to go with the flow and could be played for fools by Toye abusing and manipulating Monica.
