i paid in over $20, 000 to his bank on time on that mortgage over nine years and he reneged on both his promise to not to sell it out from underneath me and to help me relocate when he did.

i have no expectations of labor from my friends. real things operates as a cooperative with everybody in charge of their own hustle. there are no free rides for anybody. everybody pays in cash or kind for food and space resources they consume while they're here. you can sleep for free in the park. it's ten bucks or an hour's labor to crash in the yard with bathroom, kitchen and studio privileges.
