Rate me autistic for my fanfiction, I don't care.
It doesn't even matter if Vic wins the case anymore, at this point, he has won in the only way that really matters.
We all know he's Innocent. We all know that KV are full of terrible people.
Even if Vic loses this case (which is becoming less and less likely), he will go down in the annuals of internet history as a good, if flawed man, who was wronged. Whereas KV will go down as the destructive and truly evil movement that it is.

Glad your entertained, actually real lives are going to be affected here. Some will lose massive amounts of money they probably do not have. Homes will have to be sold to pay legal bills as well as the judicial lien I can see BHBH slapping on them the second it is over so I wouldn't take this as pure entertainment, it's a silly assed suit that had to be brought to protect and defend a mans livelihood all the while putting a dagger into the meetoo bullshit and twittemobs. Actually I hope vic wins and wins big, for my sons and daughters, hell for all peoples sake because this mob I can see them one day pushing for destroying those who simply not following some social construct. Texas has laws in place to prevent homelessness in the case of a lawsuit and the people who are harmed brought this upon themselves.

So, quick summary of what the post-judgement landscape looks like for the defendants:

1. Since this is an intentional tort, it can't get discharged in bankruptcy. If Vic doesn't get paid up in full, he gets to stick around and engage in post-judgement discovery and other collection actions whenever he gets wind of any assets to seize. (edit: it bears mentioning that Texas is a good state to be engaging in post-judgement discovery in. You can do significantly more there than in other states, but I don't know the exact details because I'm not enough of an autist to care and I expect it to pretty much never be personally relevant.)
2. Seizable assets include bank accounts, brokerage accounts (excluding 401k and IRAs with no asset limit), cars and other physical assets (with some exclusions IIRC), and real estate excluding your primary residence. Can't garnish wages in this case, but the defendants include Toye (who apparently has significant real estate holdings) and Funimation (who is an actual fucking business owned by a deep-pocketed multinational).
3. There's some limits on how big your primary residence can be in Texas, but it's pretty fucking broad. Quadplex near downtown? Exempt as long as it's under 10 acres. 13 bedroom mansion in the countryside with an extensive recreational ranch? Exempt as long as it's under 100 acres.
4. Notable non-seizable assets include annuities and insurance products with cash value, so there can be some fuckery there. You have to set it up before you get or expect to be sued, though, or else the courts can and will unwind that shit due to you being a fuckhead to your extant creditors. Generally having things set up before you acquire general creditors is fine - you're under no obligation to make it easy for creditors to seize shit from you. You are under an obligation to not engage in chicanery with existing assets, though.

I can see that being the case. And yes to sound like a parrot repeating the point, this is to the kv lurkers. I disliked jim sterling and still do to this day, but what digital homicide was doing to him was bullshit. You do not have to like vic to see what is being done to him is bullshit. This is to the ones who can still be reasoned with.

That's my biggest issue with this whole thing. It's really sort of a "for me but not for thee" kind of thing. The hypocrisy and double-think going on is just shocking. Watching them dig their holes was funny before but now it's just amazing.

Now that we can see that Monica et al are going all in on defending Soye, a thought occurred to me. A plan that Monica and co. may try to pull off, its just their brand of stupid and narcissistic.

What if, as the TCPAs fail, and the case moves forward, she comes forward and tries to play that Nick's theory of her being coerced was true (assume my theory of her being scum as well holds for this hypothetical). She had been defending him out of her genuine calculus, but then throws him under the bus to exfiltrate herself and Marchi and maybe Iago/Igor/Renfield and leave Ron and Funimation holding the bag. It seems just manipulative and stupid enough that she would try it, or maybe Sabat would try it to save himself.
