The probative part of it isn't what's weak it's that it's so enormously prejudicial that this outweighs the limited relevancy of it. If there were no prejudice to admitting it, it would be completely admissible on a number of theories.

I'm not exactly enthusiastic about that theory either, but it doesn't matter. What matters is it opens the door to settlement if she wants it and she could easily float that bullshit theory and people would buy it or at least pretend to buy it.

Agreed. Its value is in just how bad it makes everyone look in the real world. Wont win the case, but it changes it, and makes settlement more likely.

Still picking my jaw off the floor after hearing that bombshell. What kind horror show did we stumble upon to? What the fuck? I wonder if his lawyer is trashing his office right now in a fit of rage after finding out about that. I wish we know what year Monica started going out with Patrick Bateman. That way we'll find out if she really acted on her own free will or Soye does his best Jojo Ora Ora Ora impression on her face. Who knows.

Rial boasted about dating Illich Guardiola a couple of months before he was charged with sexual assault and married a 16 year old.

That's the important thing to remember, regardless of what she may or may not go through with Ron: she's still a shitty person. Any sympathy I would have normally had for her if she was being abused has been exhausted by the shit she's pulled with Vic. Spousal abuse, or no, she still understands right from wrong. There's literally no excuse for what she's done. This might sound shitty, but she can depend on the group of friends made up of sexual predators and liars to give her sympathy. Good luck with that, Monica.

Statements like this remind me of the movie, "The Verdict," when the judge tells the jury to disregard a piece of evidence that, even though it's a photocopy and is technically inadmissible in court, shows how the surgeons knew the patient hadn't fasted and could therefore choke to death under anesthesia. The judge warned the jury that the damning piece of evidence was inadmissible, and therefore not to be used in their judgement of the defendants.

The problem for the judge and the defendants is that, despite the judge's warning, the jury obviously acknowleged that evidence and found the surgeons guilty.

Additionally, the way in which you present yourself in court can have enormous effects on the outcome of the case: I know of a certain case where someone seeking a restraining order against her sixty-something mother failed. She failed because she attempted to submit documents to the court while the hearing was in session, and she showed an ugly temper to her mother and the judge when her documents were not admitted as evidence.
