Don't worry, he can't get mistreated at work if he gets fired from his job. And nobody will have to be mistreated on the job at all at Funimation if it gets razed to the ground.

Concurring with @Yellow Yam Scam, I'll go a step further and say that not even Toye's history of domestic abuse is particularly relevant-- I mean, it serves as context for his behavior, but it's not like the KC texts that basically made him dead to rights concerning TI.

However, they're important because of the reflections of their characters. All of #kickvic/#killvic has held themselves out as woke moral paragons trying to shine a light on the debauchery of the American anime industry and trying to drain the swamp.

So, it matters that:

  • Jennifer Lynn Hunt forcibly kissed two likely underage girls on stage,
  • Sarah Jean Maefs has a history of racism,
  • Shane may have groomed his current wife,
  • Doucette abandoned his firstborn along with his girlfriend though to be honest it's genuinely arguable as to whether he was doing them a grand service,
  • Sabat employs slurs to insult others,
  • Schemmel says and produces stuff like this, and
  • Ron Toye has abused a previous wife to the point that she was able to successfully get a restraining order that only became ineffective because it wasn't renewed likely because he was no longer an issue
and it matters that at no point, until they were outed, did they say a thing about these transgressions, and instead played themselves up as preeminently worthy to discuss proper conduct. They didn't even have the sense or courtesy to say that they learned what they were trying to preach about, and they allied and stanned each other all the while.

The last two things in that list, and especially the last, are going to twist arms something fierce in the coming days, especially when the TCPA response drops and likely obliterates it while giving #ISWV a morale boost and more ammo. You're going to have a lot of people being outed for the snakes they are, only being concerned about winning, to the point that they'll change their morals or vainly deny the truth in their faces, just so they can continue stanning their friends, and-- more importantly-- not admit that they were wrong, thus ceding moral ground.
