Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

Maybe thats what they were hired to do

Judging by today’smultiple shitstorms melting down Funimation and RonRon the serial wife beater gaining traction in norms land, I’m going to say that plan has gotten rather out of their control. As they say, “if you don’t want the monster, don’t throw the switch!”

Think this sums it up in his own words pretty well, keep it up Lemwaaaah I'm sure this is gonna go just brilliantly
*cough* Ladies and *huagh* Gentlemen of the Jury*huagh* have you ever heard of a conslut? *huuaaagh* Have you ever seen a man want to have sex with attractive twin females? *huagh* Does this seem like a Christian gun toting Republican like you? *huugh*

I can see the angle he is coming from showing Vic as a lecherous pervert "preying" on fans. I for one don't understand why in god's name he didn't have somebody else asked the questions.

It was also obvious to me watching the questioning, they were going for a "gotcha" moment. The fact that Lemonfurher thinks he has them from the same depos I watch proves his track records on TCPA.

There's now a pop dust article about the FUNI leaks, it's a piece of shit.
Looks like those clips are really starting to get around.

I mean the Devil's advocate had it right

"I dont care if you think my client is an awful sinner. And he feels that way about himself. What I want you to care about is this is a case about people making up allegations that are proveably false to destroy my client."

You forget that Nick, Ty, and Vic were all thrown in jail, which severely limits Nick's opportunities to lose the case.
I suppose I should have but after all the assaults, harassment, grifting and rampant ethics violations it's hard to keep track of such habitual criminals

I'm shocked that Samuel Johnson hasn't filed anything like Volney and Lemon Fuhrer.

Well, part of it my be that, unlike the others, he didn't try the exceptional move of amending his TCPA filing after the deadline. Consequently, there's no whole filing for Ty to move to strike, and in turn, nothing for Johnson to respond to. But beyond that, he and Marchi appear to be the sanest among the defendants in this case so far (service dodging and bragging about it notwithstanding), so this isn't that surprising to me.

Also Marchi has a better chance than MoRonica or Funimation imo

Notice how Johnson has achieved substantially better results than any of the other lawyers while actually filing much less paper. There's a reason for that. Churning garbage out to annoy the other side and bilk your dumb clients out of huge amounts of money doesn't benefit your clients.

He filed in a timely manner, has acted cordially, and showed no disdain. Ty even remarked he enjoyed working with him on one of Nick's streams (citation needed). Of the lawyers involved on the defendant's side, he is the most logical. Nick mentioned we should not underestimate a discount lawyer, I agree. His filings have been proper and well done.

He reads as a lawyer who isn't politically motivated. I actually like what he's done thus far (autistic ratings be damned) and he's most likely to settle.

But we'll see. This case has proved to be "polarizing," to say the least, so far.

Edit: I apologize to all those watching this thread, as I am, for the court filing. I'm just as excited as you are

Having Johnson in the mix is a nice way to ground the reality of how these things go- we've been spoiled by a lot of stupidity but Johnson just keeps chugging along, doing sane things in a respectful manner. Marchi is herself a dislikable cunt, but through her defense we will get to see what happens when dislikable cunts hire sensible counsel while Rial/Toye provide endless entertainment.

It's a huge mistake to think that just because a lawyer is doing a lot and churning out thick filings that this means they're actually doing WELL. In legal practice, less is often more, and an actual litigator, and I believe Johnson is one, knows that his client's finances are part of the general welfare of the client that needs to be protected.

Filing reams of nonsense just to annoy everyone else involved in the case, including the judge, just to be able to charge huge amounts of money to your client is not competence.
