Going through random Texas VA twitters regarding the Funileaks

Nothing: Ricco Fajardo, Dawn M Bennett, Kristen McGuire, Bryn Apprill, Brittney Karbowski (made pro-defendant tweet during the Dallas News story), Jill Harris, Michelle Rojas, Matt Shipman, Brittany Lauda, Josh Grelle (breached at KamehaCon), Amber Lee Connors, Howard Wang, Justin Briner, Madeleine Morris, Mike McFarland (wanted Vic gone), Brina Palencia (pro-defendant tweet during Dallas News story), Amanda Lee (the youtuber Amalee, not penguin-molesting Amanda Winn Lee), Elizabeth Maxwell (worked on STC), Colleen Clinkenbeard (wanted Vic gone), Leah Clark , Sarah Wiedenheft (breached at KamehaCon).

And then my boredom became to great and my autism ran out.

Leah Clark (said Vic's a predator of Weinstein proportions) didn't have anything on the leaks, but had this:

Otherwise, strangely no one's talking about it. Pointedly so.

I don't believe that, but it's funny anyway. In a real sense, this is why you always do things early if you want them done on time, but I'm sure the objective here is to piss off twatterlaw, and I can fully support that tard-cum generating endeavor, and I'm sure nobody will bat an eye over an excuse of """"technical issues""" over a three day government holiday weekend. And with how fucking thirsty these morons have been on twitter all afternoon, you know they are going to start flipping out.

The goalpost moving was not nearly this egregious before; it's in orbit now. With their backs legitimately against a wall their morals are wafer thin things that I am legitimately baffled by seeing the reactions to these recordings.

Lets not forget they've also continuously said toriyama wouldn't care about how his biggest hit is handled because he made jokes about cheating on his wife and he sexualised bulma etc etc

Sarah Wiedenheft (breached at KamehaCon)

It's going to be something hearing Sarah saying something as rancid as the other Voice notes in her Zeno voice, if such a clip exists. Also I think she learnt her lesson about commenting on this whole situation when her own yard isn't exactly clean especially, with that brother of hers.

@TheLastJoestar (think it was you) saw your post about it being outtakes and bloopers. I also accepted that at first, but then what puzzles me about it is why they haven't released these clips for what, 20 odd years now yet they still remain on Funi's servers ? Unless I missed that edition of DBZ? Not to mention they had the perfect chance to do so if they wanted to as they literally just released those 30th anniversary blu-ray's

Ty Boomer'd the filing....
That seems plausible.
But, Ty's a war gamer and it could be a fake out?
I guess we'll find out Tuesday.

Other than Law Twitter using this as an attempt to dunk on Ty, how much of an effect would this have?

This poses an interesting question; does cancel culture actually yield honest to god benefits?

People who defend and perpetuate it say that it’s still important for our society even it has negative consequences; but notice they only say that when it’s someone they don’t like being cancelled.

Objectively speaking, do we really need something like cancel culture?
Cancel culture is dumb. Literally its only useful purpose is as a tool to dismantle cancel culture by evenly applying the same standards to everybody.

Really, “cancelling” should be reserved for those who have been convicted of (or are widely known to have committed) serious crimes, like Bill Cosby or R.Kelly, and certainly not for dumbshits like Louis CK who made some women uncomfortable as a result of his masturbation addiction.

Otherwise, strangely no one's talking about it. Pointedly so.

Personally, I hear a very loud and telling silence. I think the voice actors are in more shit than they let on and Funimation's management(?) is likely pulling their hair out trying to ferret out the mole.

You know, if Toei was a character in Sabat's gay orgy, they'd be Korin walking in on this shit show.

"Oh guys, what the hell's happening here? Let me read your mi- Oh Jesus Christ! You've been butt fucking again, haven't you?"

I swear, that entire piece of audio is the perfect representation of Funimation's situation. An incestuous entity is just fucking itself over and over and over.

It's stupider than usual. For KV, that takes some effort.

They are seemingly deliberate and in one case rather scripted and polished Gay Porn using the licensed characters. That's not a big HaHa! Funny! That's a major Fuck Up. Especially when it gets out in the wild and involves some highly offensive language coming out of the Licensed Characters.

If i recall correctly, Chris himself owns the Okatron 5000 Studio where he'd be free to record that and have it as a private thing he could share with friends. Hence why every voice involved in that "skit" was his own. It's not exactly an abuse of an IP when you have professional recording equipment at home and something Leaks. It wasn't released for anything. At best it's for personal use.

Ever use a Sound Booth? That happens a lot. And it was adlibbed from the sound of things. A single scenario adlibbed to the end, and Chris swaps between voices on the fly... believe it or not, shit like that is used as practice. warmup fodder or something he recorded to pass the time that was supposed to remain a joke for just him and maybe another engineer. Par the course for this industry.
___________

I agree with the main point that it's antithetical to the company "look" that they want to push forward, But I wholeheartedly disagree that the same studio that dubbed Dance in the Vampire Bund and many other bordeline hentai shows would have the same views on what is and isn't "workplace sexual harassment." Which Makes the Vic thing seem all the stupider. Monica and Jamie play Panty and Stocking, 2 sluts who talk about fucking all the time. Chris in that show plays Garterbelt, a Black priest who wants to molest little children. This is different than your average Joe sallary-man kind of thing. But some stupid G-rated joke about a Jellybean is enough to try and get Vic to Kill himself? Thats what I find most outrageous. So "Jelly bean" that's horrible but Sonny Straight shouting in Krillin's voice "KA ME HA ME HA! BITCHES!!" at conventions is just dandy? ehhh no.

I am saying, above all, THAT is what you want to go after. Not actors screwing around in the voice booth (It happens in Japan too, Mayumi Tanaka famously replaced Akemi Okamura's Scripts so she screams Climate CHINPO [penis] instead of Tempo.) Voice actors are not as "professional" as you'd be lead to believe. We're all just children with a microphone, and that doesn't change no matter where you are. I bet you'll find things like that in other voice reels found in the Japanese Audio companies. If somebody were ballsy enough to leak them.

And Above all i hold steadfast that if this becomes ISWV's sticking point all those fun little interations at conventions will be nuked by overhead. And I don't think anybody wants that. this is the farms, It doesnt matter at the end of the day to this site, but ISWV are people who tout themselves as convention-going anime fans. Do they really want the whole experience to be extremely sanitized? And free of any actual human interaction?

Plus this shit is in fact Workplace Sexual Harassment.

Now it's time for an age old question. if you clone yourself and fuck it, is it gay or masturbation?

When you google "Funimation" or "Dragon Ball Z."

This leak shit comes up. Funimation lost the game.
Even if no one cares that they said gay shit.

The only way to beat SJWs is to make them play their own game.
Expose them for the hypocrisy.

Play their games and beat them at it. Sucks, I know...

The only hope I have for this generation is the pendulum swinging back. So far
away from cancel culture. It has to get worse before it can get good again.
Let the market course correct as they say.

Until then. I watch and I laugh...

So far the only shows he’s been dropped from are Morose Mononokean (a Funi title) and Bungo Stray Dogs (licensed by Crunchyroll). The fact that Viz kept him on as Rohan is a good sign all things considered.

Crunchyroll is billing Funimation actors in BSD, so I think that's why. Despite it being a Crunchyroll dub, if you watch the credits (and can manage to sit through the bizarrely slow and silent credit roll) it's all a Funimation crew. I'm guessing since CR used to be partnered with Funimation and BSD has been going for years it's a holdover. If CR get solo license to it for some reason and recasts, they'll potentially bring back Vic, as his replacement only voiced like 3 episodes.
