Not you too Jonathan... I actually liked some of your covers...

Also talk about research but you haven't done your own, check his deposition transcripts or the actual video, where he clearly indicates it was done in a playful manner, instead of the cropped version by Cuck lightyear

I just noticed this. Whelp, time to unsubscribe.

This poses an interesting question; does cancel culture actually yield honest to god benefits?

People who defend and perpetuate it say that it’s still important for our society even it has negative consequences; but notice they only say that when it’s someone they don’t like being cancelled.

Objectively speaking, do we really need something like cancel culture?

No. Why would you set up such an easily abusable weapon for your enemy to be able to use against you in the future?

I left Weeb Wars for a bit to focus on my life. I got the pop up for Rekieta's stream last night and what it started is pretty amusing - That said the argument ISWV side is slowly turning into an obnoxious form of SJW that needs to be nipped now. It's perfectly fine to argue that the things said in the sound booth are not at all consistent with the puritan nature they claim. They are massive hypocrites, for example, for keeping Sean saying Faggot faggot faggot over and over again when these people explode at the mere utterance of the word. Its a great tool to call out their two-faced nature, and how obviously targeted the attacks on Vic are.

NOW with that said. Hero Hei is streaming now and I've seen this all over twitter. "MUH MAKING A JOKE OF YOUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY"
This is Not at all new.....At all. For those of you that actually bother(ed) to buy official Blu rays from them, they put these in as extras all the time. They will also take the reels to Conventions all the time.

Screaming to daddy Parent company over this, is a low blow and I don't like the precedent it sets. I think there is definitely room for fun and parody as long as it's a DVD extra or something. And this is perfectly acceptable. The people making a big fuss are more interested in destroying Funimation the company - but it doesn't seem like it's at all very focused and sighted. I would hate to see a crackdown on authentic and fun blooper extras that make any purchase more worthwhile - just because some exceptional individuals got their pantsu wound up in their cracks. Funimation is a shitty company - Yes! Tackle it as the company that hates it's fans, not the company that makes parodies on their downtime and may or may not throw them in as DVD extras.

If i've learned anything from the many many MANY mistakes of outrage and cancel culture, it's that companies ALWAYS take the wrong message from these things. What a parent company should take away is "Dont give my content to shady companies who despise their fans" But I know now That they will instead take; "BLOOPER REELS AND PARODY ARE BAD" and kill the fun for everyone. It could also lead to a massive crackdown on the abridging community.

I will be awaiting with my Rageaholic "FUCK YOU I WAS RIGHT" dance

They aren't bloopers, though. Schemmel saying "faggot" could be contorted into a blooper, but nothing else that was leaked was. Reading out a gay porno fanfic or whatever definitely wasn't a blooper, and simulating incest pedo sex was definitely not, either.

The whole point of a blooper is that you flub up your line or maybe you take the opportunity to make a funny quip instead of your line, but these were all deliberate and not prompted by messing up in the line of production and immediately understanding you have to redo your line.

The reason people like Hero Hei are saying "they're making a joke of your IP!" is because they're making a joke of their IP.

Wanna bet every one of them 'forgives' all their faggotry comments? Fellow political travelers and all...

But Vic is a Christian with no pride flag waving. So there ya go. I may be wrong but I doubt it.

Vic not willing to play these games may have made him more of an outsider.

You know, it's funny-- for all the claims of homophobia, the only thing we have of him concerning the matter is him insisting that he's not a homophobe in his deposition and, earlier, telling off fundies.

>""""""""technical issues"""""""
I don't believe that, but it's funny anyway. In a real sense, this is why you always do things early if you want them done on time, but I'm sure the objective here is to piss off twatterlaw, and I can fully support that tard-cum generating endeavor, and I'm sure nobody will bat an eye over an excuse of """"technical issues""" over a three day government holiday weekend. And with how fucking thirsty these morons have been on twitter all afternoon, you know they are going to start flipping out.

I'm pretty sure they waited to today to file their response because:
  1. the TCPA could actually tank the case altogether if they don't headbutt it now and they do it well enough, and
  2. they had three TCPAs to respond to, for a total of over a thousand pages.
If Ty wanted to show up LawTwitter, he'd do what he normally does and file normally and ahead of time instead of being like the defendants and filing hours late while also trying to repeatedly amend after the deadline. Instead, he ended up having paid failure shills talk about how much of a tardy boy he is for things literally out of his control.

No, she inferred in the most salacious way possible that he gave her an STD. Which remained unnamed and she has obviously provided exactly zero evidence of whatsoever.

...did she, really?

Because if so, that means that Vic's been hit by every kind of per se defamation-- and, yes, I know, he's not suing Specht, but still, it's absurdly ridiculous.

I'm starting to think an article on Medium that was joked about might actually be a good idea.
Just brainstorming here, but it may be effective for it to be sarcastically Kickvic - like, juxtaposing Vic’s claims of wrongdoing with precisely the evidence that Kickvic claims proves it (along with any debunking evidence obviously) and let the reader “reach their own conclusions”. Again, by making it openly anti-Kickvic, you’re going to alienate a lot of people who will naturally think it’s an attempt to justify/whitewash an actual predator and will avoid any article/page simply for that reason.

It’s human nature that we want to see people in power torn down, and by masquerading it as an article slamming Vic I think you could reach a bigger audience.

i can really only take this in small doses or i'm afraid i'll have an aneurysm. KV are all the same insufferable retards you meet in any debate, the simpletons who think high-horsemanship and popularity mean they have the truth on their side (not convinced KV even really outnumbers ISWV, i think they are just louder). meanwhile they are the same people who are probably least capable of coming to anything approximating a logic-based conclusion.

the most frustrating part is how allegations quickly become fact, so now there's no need whatsoever to determine if any "assaults" actually took place. it's just "THE assaults that vic committed". they are also the ones first to point out that cancel culture has nothing to do with the law, so "innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply. yet in that context, their appeal to the "dismissal" of the charges against toye is fucking laughable. i thought we didn't need legal grounds to cancel him? oh, right, people only get cancelled when it's dried-up harpies and their keyboard warriors calling for it, anyone else is just a FAR-RIGHT MAGA HAT-WEARING TRUMP-SUPPORTING CONSPIRACY THEORIST!!!

like fucking hell i hate people like this. has nothing to do with vic. they need sterilized or shot by firing squad.

what i do find funny were the va's that were coming out to support vic's alleged victims haven't said a thing about the leaks

i wonder why?

has funimation told the va's to shut their mouths.
Why would Funimation be instructing their contractors on what they can and can't say on social media?
It's not like they're their employees or agents or anything like that.

If you take away the unfortunate real world consequences, which people seem to be waking up to, it's just the adult version of cyberbullying. They just say whatever the fuck they want and feel nothing because it's just words on a screen. You don't have to look that person in the eye or see the life ruining results of your actions.

That's what attracted me to the Vic case. At best I've dipped my big toe into the ocean of anime so I had no idea who any of these people were and had no stakes or bias. All I knew was somebody was finally going to face his accusers, force them to back up their words, and attempt to undo as much of the damage done as possible.

What the hell? I can kind of see why the first three, but what the hell are the last two euphemisms for?
This happened a couple of months ago in Articles & Happenings. Null answered in the second page (and I assume he has done so multiple times in the past in other threads, too).
In 2013 people bullied me for (1) drinking a lot of soda, and (2) missing Waffle House (and a particular item from Wafflehouse that I always got smothered, covered, chunked, diced, and peppered + drowned in ketchup). To combat this, I got innovative.
