I did some more searching. Bunch of articles literally parroting the same shit, with no one knowing if he actually died.
Not even fucking Keem has confirmed it, which has me believing shit's an intentional hoax.

It would not be too out of character if Dillon faked his own death. Back in July 2018 he put out these weird video's kind of implying he was being kidnapped (though the more seem like weird art project but it still came out of nowhere for him) .

The fact that the cause is not being mentioned at all indicates it may have been something touchy like an OD or a suicide. This kid (god he was younger than me...) was quite the master troll in the day. It's a shame that so many genuinely talented, interesting, or charismatic people struggle with things like that.
Hate to sound like a moralfag or w/e but this hits home so please tell people in your life that you care and are open to talking. You can get them help, even just a little. And if you're in that state, you can reach out to trusted people.
That being said I kind of hope I've got the wrong idea here and maybe he just had some kind of terminal illness he and his family wish to keep that kind of thing private. Either way its sad but my first assumption is a little bit more depressing.

I still think it's plausible that this could be an elaborate publicity stunt. The two 'real' names being given are Dillon Prescott Henderson and Griffin Alexander Klaus. The trouble is, the birth dates don't match: Dillon Prescott Henderson is listed as having been born on November 5, 1998; Griffin Alexander Klaus is listed as having been born on October 14, 1998.
I remember there were a bunch of obituary pages when MannixThePirate faked his death, so I don't think this being a hoax is out of the question.
