Out of all those popehat's is both the smartest and the dumbest take. Apparently he doesn't realize that using nasty rumors to get people fired is illegal. Even if people were actually spreading these rumors for years the fact that they've just been weaponized to ruin Vic's life does in fact make them more harmful.

I like that Popehat completely ignores the "defendants are documented to have claimed Vic was about to be charged with a crime in order to induce a breach of contract" thing. I know the more salacious parts are funnier and all, but that one's pretty hard to talk your way out of.

What's the likelihood of Ron having put funding into Funi things and that's why he's got a sense of authority over the company? The whole giving some chick a laptop thing seems more like it might be related to financial power rather than a sexual thing. I notice texts of him talking about setting up booths at cons that the VAs attend, there's enough evidence to suggest that Funi employees are clients of his as well as the obvious of those involved in the lawsuit. Rather than him using raw intimidation to put his voice out there, what if it's entirely monetary? We've seen his supposed net worth and I could see him using money as an incentive to give him leverage in this situation.

The take I was most insulted and horrified by was the first one involving the amazons. For such notable feminists these people have an odd habit of disparaging the agency of any woman who is against them by either claiming internalized misogyny or that they are being bullied in a hostile environment only able to cry for help by un-falsifiable smoke signals. Plus wanting to pay the US Marines to help them convert their two Helicopter Assault Ships into Jet capable Carriers and teach them how to operate them. And yeah I know it seems a stretch that Schemmel screaming Faggot could impact billions of dollars in military deals. But go look at the current Japanese v South Korea trade spat to see how petty things can get.

I’m just saying Funi’s Frat House antics are coming to light at a moment in time that is strikingly unfavorable to them in every way possible. They have no friends anywhere save twitter, and National Pride is now involved.
