I'm curious about this story since Nadolny tried to get in contact with Specht and-- IIRC-- Loveridge or Unterkin. Perhaps she was just trying to get her foot in the door and baited them with spicy Vic deets only to give them spicy Sabat deets they already knew about, and they never reported it.

Occam’s Razor says this MUST be the case.

ANN is absolutely DESPERATE to gather up the “””victims”””, so there’s no way they didn’t follow up with her. And, by that same logic, had she said something even mildly incriminating about Vic, you KNOW she would have been on the list of Vic’s alleged victims.

God damn I seriously hope that Ty has all of the evidence he needs to put Sabat in the ground. Huber’s affidavit is a literal anime plot escalation, shifting the focus from merely defending Vic’s innocence and reputation to taking down Sabat’s apparent shadow empire in the animation industry. To use an appropriate metaphor, this is the moment the story went from “Let’s look for a philosopher’s stone to restore our bodies!” to “Oh shit the government is literally run by a cabal of eldritch abominations and philosopher’s stones are people”.

You know what? I no longer think Weeb Wars is a 2-season affair. Think about it: a minor early antagonist returns as a hero and reveals the final boss along with the overarching plot of the rest of the show, and all the pieces are being lined up for the first major battle. Although our heroes are well-equipped, victory is still not a certainty. We’re obviously at the mid-season finale of a 26-episode anime.

It is not out of dickishness you are told this, but you have to remember that kiwi's are not the only ones who browse here. I mean luckily KV investigation abilities are awful, but people here like to name as well and they are way the fuck better at it than you think.

Hi, I'm a person who just heard of this site while catching up with the "Weeb Wars" developments.

I don't know how useful my personal anecdote here is, but since it seems some folks here were investigating when rumors of Vic went around, I'll recall when I, myself, first heard such rumors.

I was at this panel at Zenkaikon 2012 (While I would not normally be able to state such so clearly, it was the only time I was at the Oaks), and a panelist there brought up a story about Vic "caught in the hotel bathroom with an underage girl".
Oddly, in spite of it being an 18+ panel the details were not as explicit as the prior story involving a yaoi cosplayer being forced upon by twins, a story treated more like a punchline than the allegations against Vic.
Also, this does not seem to be among the stories currently circulating as an allegation, since none of them refer to the location - a detail I thought stuck out like a sore thumb, since, well, public hotel bathrooms are usually pretty gross. That detail, along with clearly referring to an "underage girl", is the one thing I remember the most clearly.

I do not remember if the panelist was stating this as a personal witness or if it was someone else's story she was reciting.

I've not had any interaction with Vic at any cons myself, and only attended panels quietly with other FUNi VAs without any direct interaction. Since I don't think I have anything else to contribute, I'll refrain from posting further unless questions are asked about the anecdote.

Pressing x to doubt Sabat and Funi threatened CN and that they cared at all about losing the shows. That would imply that they actually care about Funi's shows on Toonami.

Even if CN and Williams Street were still one company, I really don't see them caring much for Toonami/AS shows.

Hell, I HIGHLY doubt threats from Sabat and/or Funi would in any way scare them.

When sabat used the excuse that vic is an actor as to why vic comes off as innocent, he was projecting as usual.

The profile for that panelist lists the "Erie Anime Experience" as a convention they had panels at.

The Erie Anime Experience was founded by Tekkoshocon staffer Jacqueline Miller, who initially advertised the brand new convention at Tekkoshocon in 2007. This is the convention where Vic was alleged to have been caught with one or more underage girls in his hotel room.

The only one of those I can really answer with clarity is that the panel was not filmed, at least not with any professional cameras, any advanced heads-up that people were being recorded, or any panelist holding a camera or smartphone on-hand. I don't remember any other details that relate to Vic rumors.

Very late and gay on the subject, just spent hours dealing with real life stuff.

That aside, I caught up on that post regarding Stephanie Nadolny and Sabat which if true has two things for me to comment on:First, this not only makes Sabat look like even more of a scumbag who is without a doubt the Don of the Dub World and this possibly could explain what happened to Tiffany Vollmer if Sabat did anything similar aside from that aforementioned story I mentioned.

Second, Fuck Chrissy Weinstein to the highest order because what he did (If true) to Stephanie was awful and I feel terrible that this woman pretty much got ousted from being in the industry where she believed that people loved Colleen Clinkenbeard more than her, and losing her role as KO in OK KO! due to Sabat interfering with her shit even when she isn’t associated with the fat fuck.

I will join you on Nostalgia Lane. My favorite pokemon, aesthetically and as far as anime portrayal, is Charmeleon. Ash's Charmeleon was only seen in 2 eps (one in which it evolved from Charmander and one in which it evolved into Charizard) but he always had a strange impact on me, maybe just as much as he did as a Charizard. Charmeleon was boss enough that it evolved out of sheer anger at getting a bump on the head from an Aerodactyl, instead of battle experience.
