Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

We sure this was not the artwork of one of the 5 kids?
I think it's Rekieta's... should we ask him?

I just made it in paint like in a minute .
Nicks actual artwork is this one

Hey dude as someone who works in legal services, why do you think Greg is twisting the narrative so hard? And how dumb are the kickvic crowd?
Greg is 'twisting' the narrative because he's bankrupt and wants desperately to be sued.
And as Nick said in a steam weeks ago, lawyers are trained to hold onto an arguement like a pitbull on a 4-year old. Belaboring a point can be a valuable skill in legal shit, if said point has merit of course. At least some the twitter lawyers are a combination of that and ego not letting them wash their hands of it.

We gotta wait until Rekieta responds on Twitter on that drawing. If he response back, I'll put up a screenshot of his response.

You know what would really help their cases? If there were criminal charges pending against Vic. They all swore up and down that criminal charges were immenent so...

Where the fuck are they?
they could potentially be putting themselves in the grey area to garner as much negative attention towards vic. This could be used to have the defendants win in a higher court because it would be nigh impossible to find a jury that hasn't heard about this case. It could also be used to kangaroo court this shit because it would be impossible to find a jury that hasn't heard about this case, thus postponing vic's case and make him lose a ton of money and potentially bankrupt him.

If they were to press charges or something, then he would most likely not be put in jail or be in jail but get out easily on bond cause he's fucking rich, and any court would throw out the case in minutes and give him a good opportunity to counter sue their asses which would absolutely help vic win the case

I'm sure a lot of RWBY fans and especially RT First members canceled their subscriptions due to RT doing Vic dirty, though.
That's money that walked out of RT's door and into the GFM.

I think there are more that are waiting to see what happens with the lawsuit out of loyalty and not wanting to have knee jerk reactions to drama. If Vic is proven innocent though, Rooster Teeth had better pull out all the stops to fix this because it will be hell on earth for them.

The tricky part for them is that they haven't said anything yet. Unless, of course, I missed something. So if they take Vic back right after he won the trial, it's actually an admission that they fired him:
1) Because of the scandal
2) Totally unfair

My bet is that they'll wait until they get the papers. Then they will read them and decide with their lawyers whether to go straight to the settlement or try to defend themselves in court.

I had hoped that if Funimation backpedaled and Monica recanted then Rooster Teeth wouldn't have a leg to stand on because they would look real shitty.

And we did just nuke the Texas voice acting community so clearly Nick has no qualms about collateral damage.

But Rooster Teeth will have to be looking down the barrel of a lawsuit before changing their tune.

N

I would if I wasn't so ignorant about law. No idea who is right or wrong. Nick has just given me a better impression.
Although I do believe Vic is innocent of things they accuse him of.

Just give your opinion. If you don't disrespect others and don't say they're idiots, people will take your mistakes easy and correct you.
If you just ask questions all the time, it will start to look like a form of trolling and will quickly become irritating.

So far, they've done the third smart thing they can do. They sit quietly and do not participate.
The smartest thing would be not to fire Vic at all. But here they've already made a mistake.
And the second smart thing they can do is to choose the course of action of KomihaCon and Chuck Huber for themselves.
If they turn in Monica, Chris and the others, who have already been cooked anyway, they will be able to recuperate the situation. But so far they don't have the brains to do that.

Or they already turn in Monica, Chris and the others. But it's another ace that Ty is holding up his sleeve.

2 voice actors and their head writer were vocal at the start of this. Then one of their voice actors "invited" T Greg. (We have a theory that T Greg is getting paid for tweeting.)

Actually, Sabat voices a character for them so they would have to fire him also. They wouldn't want to look soft of abusers.

I'm just saying, if they stick with this clique, they'll go down with her.
If they tell the court like Huber, that the clique just convinced them that Vic was really messing with the minors, and that they were under a lot of pressure, but now they are ready to step forward - they will save their brand and even help the anime community as a whole.
After this step, the whole situation will be resolved very fast and they will earn a lot of points and will be able to recover.

This is how you actually control the damage, not the pornography that Funimation and Tammy Denbow did.

That's the funny part. Chuck Huber's original idea doesn't work at all. Which is "My name is Vic. I'm a sexual addict." It does not restore the community, does not heal wounds.
But the idea "We were all deceived by a clique. Vic, please forgive us!" - works perfectly. It really restores the community, eliminates big conflict and heals wounds. As a result, only a clique will sink and there will be no collateral damage.

T Greg, from what I've read and seen from him so far, seems to want to be a troll but is too much of a loser in the attempt. He also likes to take the soverign citizens route of "cops are evil and out to get you" mentality. I think he's too much of a scmuck to get paid for his shitty ideas.

I get what you are saying. Now things have changed and they have an out. Something tells me that they fully drank the kool-aid though.

@Shittus Maximus

You are correct in him being a schmuck.

I'm pretty sure if they had an inkling of Chris's casting couch style auditions they may in fact be prepping the double-decker bus to throw him and his company under as we speak. The rest of the morally offended in the group will probably tow the line for a while then be quietly let go. In a few ways Ty gave Funimation too good of an out for it. It'll satisfy the people on the higher pecking order (Toei and Sony) and some of the fans to boot.
