Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

Are you asking people to tell you what you want to hear, or what actually happened?

What actually happened is that the filing was awful and the discord tard was right.
Ty's submission was utterly unreadable to the point where I got a headache, I can tell you that because I've been reading almost all of the filings so far. It literally read like a last-minute homework submission.

#LawTwitter are exceptional about dumb shit like typos and filing delays potentially getting Ty in trouble (at best he gets a talking-to on most of those tbh), but they don't seem to be talking too much shit when it comes to the big issues of the case, mainly being that Vic has to prove some things to get past this anti-SLAPP stage of the case (things like not being a public figure, and him botching the deposition etc), and based on what I read just now, he's probably gonna have to plan for an inevitable loss.

This is the problem that occurs when you write your briefs and spend a ton of time live on air to please stream regulars instead of diligently working on shit for your client and putting %200 into it.
Imagine thinking Ty writes briefs.

You think Vic might be libel-proof, that alone shows that you're a retard.

For most people, the exact opposite is true. BHBH easier to read. Lemoine is almost impossible. It's like reading a 5-year-old's letter. No structure, two adjacent paragraphs every second time directly contradict each other.

My opinion is you're biased.

What are your problems with it in regards to how they argue the law? What does the deposition have to do with anti-SLAPP?

Which part is dumb or unreadable? Care to point it out? Cause in all honesty, I don't think it's bad at all. Looked normal to me. Although as I said, I'm not an expert.

It's over guys. Vic fucked his narrative by pointing out that Chris Sabat did something wrong. Now the judge will take one look at this motion, ask Nick why he isn't suing Chris Sabat, and dismiss the case. And then eveyone in the courtroom will clap.

And that judge's name? Albert Einstein.

So I'm really lost right now in this story. There's Vic vs. Funimation and Co. right? And from what I remember one of the opposing lawyers waited till the last day to post a response to a court deadline and they argued to be allowed to add as much in supplement as they wanted and when? Then Vic's lawyer responded last minute to that? Or am I utterly dumb and lost on the matter? Sorry for the bother, thanks to whoever takes the time to explain it.

Law Twitter thoroughly convinced this filing is Malpractice:

Fuck these people are stupid.

There's a very, very good reason why YaBoy Zack stopped talking about the case after a certain point, even when Zaid was goading him on the daily.

Ya Boi Zak is an actual party to the suit.

Based on what you read? A brain damaged, syphillus-filled, yak-fucking, tylenol-binging spoogecanoe?

Please. I work in legal services. The filing is solid, everything is laid out EXACTLY how Judge Chupp wanted it, it is also done in such a way that it shows that Vic has all the elements of a prima facie case.

You sound like a T. Greg Douchebag cocksucker.

Hey dude as someone who works in legal services, why do you think Greg is twisting the narrative so hard? And how dumb are the kickvic crowd?

Chris Sabat, that you? 🤔

The reason Greg is twisting the narrative so hard is because he wants to be part of all this. He has a desire to be influential, to belong. He's not getting anywhere with his pro-bono "practice", and he can't get money because no one in Durham and the surrounding counties want to hire him.

As far as how dumb the kickvic crowd are, a lot of them are invested only in as much as they just hate Vic. Some want to see him fall, the classic "Tower crumbling" theme; Some feel slighted by his religion in such a "non-religious" fandom; Some are threatened by how he handles things.

I would say that 50% of KV are hangers on to a certain 35%, who then take their marching orders from the last 15%.

This is my opinion, solely. I could be wrong, I'm willing to be wrong. But I'm pretty confident in my opinion.

I think it's a good point. Many people on the side of KickVic do not understand that in this story it is Ty who has the most to lose. Who really took the risk.
To a much lesser extent, Nick Rekieta risks his reputation.
Vic is behaving adequately, but he has already suffered all possible damage. Now the only question is to what extent he will be able to recover.
Ron, Monica and others have already cornered themselves. And now all they can do is hold their poker face.
But all the commentators from KickVic, they either do not invest much and can always jump out. Or they have nothing to lose, because there is no reputation there. It's just some chance for them to be noticed. Without any actual risk involved. They don't have their own firm, a brand they've been working on for years.

There seem to be end-arounds to this. In my experience, cops usually use language like "suspect advised that..." and that just flies in court as prima-facie, even when I'm represented.

You're also present in court so it isn't an out of court statement by someone not available to testify.

He will bring it up in a snarky way

“The defendants file this timely response to the plaintiffs motion. Despite the plaintiffs filing late for their motion, after having the time extended by the honourable Judge Chupp, we do not intend to seek to dismiss the untimely filed motion, but to only bring it to the court’s attention that it was filed late.”

Nah he’s going to bring it up normally and ask for sanctions like an amateur because a bunch of fake layers on twitter and some real bad twitter lolyers are giving him ideas to do so.
Wanna know why he’s so mad about a 4th year? Cuz he can’t do the same with twitter law

Sadly, no. This is his professional twitter account.

EDIT to add: His personal twitter account (@Chris24_Sabat or something to that effect) was nuked when the Ty filing was filed.

Sounds like a funny thing to do when you’re about to make things very expensive for yourself

Still waiting for them to actually point something out.

(Not posting reaction images are hard to resist sometimes.)

This is all they have, they don’t understand how much power the judge has apparently.

Well for one it attributes harm to an unsued party, who to my knowledge was never mentioned in any court filings prior.

It also left entire arguments by defendants completely unopposed, which will likely fuck Vic up if he needs to appeal (which he will, the filing is utterly terrible, don't let KickVic's autism make you think they're telling lies).

This entire shitstorm will prove why it's a exceptional idea to let a YouTuber have a very public hand in your legal affairs at all. There's a very, very good reason why YaBoy Zack stopped talking about the case after a certain point, even when Zaid was goading him on the daily.
He will. All those grifters do.

Filings are privileged that doesn’t matter.
Vic would be the non moving party to those “arguments” and none of them were filed in a way that he would have to answer to, so tough titties.

The problem here is that it fucks with their narrative, if this guy is responsible for Vic's tarnished reputation, then why isn't he sued along with them?

(Plus by invoking rumors from 20 years ago, they're also playing into the defense's hands and admitted that Vic is libel-proof).

Not to this suit, they're planning to get him deposed during sanctions discovery or something like that, if they do get to that point obviously.

If not, then they will try to get him liable for sanctions. Lemoine pretty much laid it out.

Only a better reason to win their motion to compel after TCPA and gain everything they wanted from the initial interrogatories now that an affiant has provided background to their civil conspiracy. It’s the burden of the defense to prove Vic is liable proof, which they didn’t meet in the TCPA.

If Lemonfuhrer wants sanctions there are rules to follow for them which he didn’t meet for this “layout” you speak of

Stop trolling the NewFags

It's indeed an obvious (at least to those without an affinity for toy trains) shoop just for fun, but inb4 YellowFlash, HeroHei and others think it's real...

HeroHei seems honestly exceptional in his live streams. He repeats what he half-remembers from Nick and can't grapple sentences longer than 10 words. The other day he had to grab some water, introduced that he was going to be standing up and get some, and said he hated "dead air" so he was going to count out loud as he was doing it. He proceeded to spill water, because walking and counting was one function too complicated for this simpleton.

Both Vic and Ty have stated numerous times that there is a high potential that they may go after more people in the future.

I don't know why everyone seems to have forgotten this in the last 4 pages of thread or so. Also, Funimation is in this law suit, I am guessing Okra will be a focus of the next? And if Funi loses in this one, thst next domino is already pinned down because of how incestuous these contracts and agents are.

For most people, the exact opposite is true. BHBH easier to read. Lemoine is almost impossible. It's like reading a 5-year-old's letter. No structure, two adjacent paragraphs every second time directly contradict each other.

Lemuaw!'s was a mess, repeat paragraphs that did literally nothing. His badgering of Ty for his shit prior to court or filing was pathetic.
