$500 is the low end based on Phil taking his horse to an expensive restaurant every 'muh 1 day off a week', but he recently revealed that he and the horse eat exclusively at resturants on his day off so a big breakfast, then some kind of midday snack, then an expensive restaurant in the evening.

Also almost every put together meal you hear him blabbing about is some Schwans, 'gourmet' frozen meal delivery autism for old people to microwave, that Kathy signed them up for at $30 to $40 a meal.
He spends a ridiculous amount on lazy convenience because it makes him feel like a big boy that he can afford to pay for living in pampered convenience. He thinks if you want something and don't have the money you just put it on a credit card because that's how serious adults live. The 'bills' he's always talking about are credit card payments for shit he impulse bought. You know those As Seen on TV 'Ear Wax Vac's? He bought 2 and never used them until a 'DSP Tries It' and found out they do nothing. Fidget spinners? He randomly bought 3 to 5 for no reason and had them in a cardboard box with other garbage.

When he moved to Washington in 2014 he payed all the moving fees with credit cards ($7K) and then he spent months buying shit for his house like a giant sectional couch, a new bed, a giant TV and a bedroom TV, a $300 trashcan for his kitchen, hundreds of dollars worth of foam mats because standing on his hardwood floor made piggy's bare feet hurt after a few minutes, easily a thousand of dollars worth of kitchen cutlery and all kinds of pots and pans including a fucking heavy duty covered glass cake display stand, an expensive dining room table and chairs that seats 6, an auto-shotgun plunger system autism thing, etc. etc. ect. all on credit cards. . .that he has never paid off and has been paying interest on for 5 years. He took trade-in credit fot his CT BMW that he had leased for 2 years and began leasing a new BMW in Washington. In 2017 he took trade-in credit on his Washington BMW and began leasing a new Toyota. He put $20 to $30K on credit cards when he moved because he felt like a big boy who just bought a "serious adult house", that's a direct quote from him about his middle-unit condo.

When he didn't have the money to pay off his credit cards he took out new 0% interest introductory rate cards and transferred the debt to those cards, and has been daisy-chaining his credit card debt like that. He has 25 credit cards now, he literally ran out of new cards he could open. He pays his credit cards with other credit cards. Until 2018 he paid his Quartery Estimated Income Tax to the IRS with credit cards.
When he got back from his secret wedding his plan was to tell the bank in CT that had given him $130K to buy his shithole condo that he wasn't going to make payments anymore because he "was tired of it" and to "stop bothering him". He said he expected them to accept that, immediately take possession of his condo at his behest, sell his condo, and eat a loss of the difference between the $100K he still owes them and whatever the unit sells for. He said they would be idiots not to, and later called them "idiots who didn't know what they are doing" because he "used to have their job".

His only joy in life is spending money to feel like a big boy. He spent an estimated $3K on the WWE Supercard mobile game. Never underestimate piggy's ability to spend money.
Do you want to know where the extra money goes when he has more money than he needs in a given month to remain solvent? He either immediately spends it on garbage or he pays down his credit card balance so that later he can impulse spend money on garbage with his credit cards.

So basically the $2000-$5000 a month in pocketed cash after MUH BILLS is blown away by his immediate need to buy shit he doesn't need in rediculious amounts?

I believe it. I've got a friend who does that but with vehicle upgrades/overpriced new toys, house upgrades/projects, and his gold digger girlfriend. I can see Dave being that way.

I think Phil is living an existence that is a slave to his materialist whims, as well as those of another person. My primary evidence is the fact that we haven't seen a single hair of his house for months, and the fact that he could have gotten a cat at any time but clearly did so only at Kat's urging. Phil won't show us any part of his life outside his sound foam-lined prison because he doesn't want anyone, supporter and detractor alike, to see the mountains of crap he and Kat have accumulated. This is why days preceding and following his days off are noticeably heavier on the begging: these are the days he and Kat go out and he splashes out money to keep himself artificialy happy and Kat willing to put up with him for another week. He may be doing fine as things are but his income is constantly unstable and he can only afford extra days off every so often, especially since he's perpetually unable to budget for them.

As for the ego as regards someone else paying his taxes or for his wedding: Phil doesn't pay for things Phil doesn't care about. It's a common theory with plenty of evidence that Phil hates playing video games, hence his move into telling his pigs to buy them for him. Phil doesn't give a shit about paying his due, so if someone else does it for him, that's fine in his eyes. As for the wedding, I have no doubt that in his tradcuck mind the parents should pay for their child's wedding, a concept that isn't without a great deal of past support. If a ceremony in the elder Burnell household followed by a reception at Greasy Sal's Thumbs-Up Pizzeria is all they can afford, then fuck it. As long as he's not paying for it.

But the mind boggles how someone could spend that much money "like water" every week, week in and week out on junk they don't really need without running out of space. How many panini presses or Bose headsets can one reasonably expect to use. Why is Khet, his wife and soulmate who he is building a life with together spending her time playing games on a tiny ass monitor placed 3 feet away in a desolate corner of her "office"? It doesn't add up if they're as flush and casual with their spending as you're proposing.*

I would guess he spends double that at least on groceries. Buying all that "high class" frozen shit is expensive and you just know their fridge + pantry is stocked at all times. My coworker has a rental property and two mobile homes. He pays his Property manager 250 bucks a month to handle everything. He gets around $1000 bucks a month in rental fees. If my coworker can find someone willing to manage the property for that cheap, so can Dave. He's just fucking lazy and absolutely stupid but he will tell you how dumb you are for pointing this type of shit out to him


EDIT: ya my coworker has to talk to his property manager at least once a week. They will call you weekly to give you updates about your property and the tenants etc. He says it's a relationship you have to form with your manager because you rely on them to make sure things are being done correctly and fairly. Pretty much Dave is too much of a akward social outcast who refuses to save his castle that he couldn't handle a normal guy calling him to tell him the tenants are asking about maintenance issues and what he did to rectify it Jesus Christ dave. Talk about comfort zone issues

I think you're partially correct. It is comically lazy. But we're ignoring one other key motivation.

DSP limits his human interaction as much as possible, and he is petrified of any sort of conflict in which he does not have complete control. Renting out the CT condo presents just the possibility that he will at some point have an angry renter or a lawyer calling him about something, a situation in which he can't either ignore it or tell the person to fuck off and ban them. Phil can only handle fake, digital internet fights, not actual interpersonal issues between Real Mature Adults, and he will do anything to avoid them from even starting.

He is lazy, no question. But even beneath the sloth is cowardice.
