Think about it: what if he had to get a job, started working...
I honestly think the best thing would be if he goes to a mental hospital, not prison. Nick's so visibly odd that he'd probably get protective custody in prison, do his sentence, and then get out. Given that he's so unable to even approximate normal behavior, though, I imagine that if he gets committed to the psych ward he'll be there indefinitely.
IIRC Nick's parents (or at least his legal guardians) are some sort of weird type of christian that would rather pray (or hush up) the problem away. The one thin I've noticed a lot of lolcows have in common is weird sorta negligent parents. For example, if I found out that my child was like Nick in any way; they'd be in some help clinic or with a therapist four times a week. I'm not fully knowledgeable about Nicks parents.... But have they even TRIED to get him help?
Nick sees a therapist and takes medication for schizophrenia, mostly thanks to his aunt. His parents are super religious and believe mental illness, at worst, doesn't exist; and, at best, can be prayed away. The one thin I've noticed a lot of lolcows have in common is weird sorta negligent parents. You'd think that they'd see how he is and see that "praying it away" is obviously not working.Nick sees a therapist and takes medication for schizophrenia, mostly thanks to his aunt. Yep and any good parent with a potential lolcow would probably put a stop to anything they're kid was doing to gain notoriety. At least that's what I hope.Bad parenting is almost required for a kid to grow into a lolcow. Well-raised children learn a lot of things that help them dodge that kind of notoriety.
Correct me if I'm making this up but wasn't Nick working for Gamestop? Maybe he got fired or something but I definitely remember him tweeting things I'd rather not type about children entering the store.Your concerns seem to hinge on the idea that somebody would be willing to pay Nick to work for them.
I think you can relax.
There's no "maybe" about it.You'd think that they'd see how he is and see that "praying it away" is obviously not working.
But of course, these are the people that know what he's like and, for some reason, let him near a young child. Maybe they need psychiatric help too.

Holy shit.....
I assume the girl isn't lying, because there is a gross amount of accusing victims as if they're the ones who have to be questioned and investigated, and I find that culture disgusting, so it's insulting to look at victims like they're crazy liars. Those are the exact reasons so many rape and sexual abuse victims either never speak up, or take years to speak up, because they know they'll potentially be treated worse than the people who harmed them, and that's a damned fucking shame. Or in this case, told to shut up about it by a trashy family who just "don't want to deal with the drama" that will come of it.
I hope those who are trying to lie, like Nick and his disgusting mother and aunt who are trying to cover this up for their own lazy convenience, have a special place in hell reserved for them. And I really wish Amber the best, and those who stand beside her like I hope her father will. Stand strong, guys, my thoughts are with you as you pursue what I hope will be a peace of mind delivering justice on this piece of garbage.
Fuck Nick Bate, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I hope the disgusting excuse for a human being gets what is coming to him.
No, I understand you. Every investigation needs just that, an investigation. In cases like these though, there's also such a high scrutiny for victims that it's the reason why so many people hide it away, and it can seriously fuck with your quality of life as a result. Having seen the stresses first hand with my cousin who I think had more damning evidence than Amber currently does, she still went through hell for it and spoke constantly about regretting coming forward it was so hard on her. And this is a grown woman, not a young girl like Amber still is. That's why I worry about how far they'll come with these accusations, or if they'll just realize how difficult it is and back down. Again, I don't know much about Amber's father, but everyone in that general genepool doesn't seem too prepared for something so grand, so I worry.I agree it's terrible, but I fear questioning victims is a necessity, at least for the police. imagine being a police officer and having a crying 13 year old telling you she was molested, and then seeing a picture of nick bate and being told he's the perpetrator. I honestly can't imagine myself being able to be even remotely impartial in a situation like that, I'd want to throw him in jail and forget about the key, and not even ask for evidence, but it's a key tenet of our justice system that everyone deserves a fair trial, and a trial can't be fair unless the accuser is questioned as well.
I'm sure the police go overboard with questioning the accuser often, but without questioning them at all it would pretty much just become an inquisition, have you seen videos of mob justice in Africa? That shit is scary as fuck, and despite all its flaws, that's what our justice system has been designed to avoid. As far as the family questioning her though, fuck that, it makes me sick.
I'm pretty sure sick nick did do it, and assuming he hasn't just been lying for attention about all of this, (including the Anna Chatlogs) his mom is almost as bad as he is, I can't imagine what the fuck is going on in her head to the point where she would defend her son after he molested her husbands daughter. If I were nicks step-dad I seriously think I might have killed him, I have no tolerance for child molesters and I can't imagine what it feels like to know a sick fuck like that might have hurt your own kid
I hope Nick wasn't being an edge lord, but if Amber is truly speaking up about it herself, I think that proves he wasn't.
