Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I was thinking it was sabat, didn't seem like much of a change between Vageta and Broly, and Goku's scream was similar too.
So the scuttlebutt about Sabat coveting that role only for Toei to tell him to fuck off and get Vic just might be true.

Anyway, I think it's funny just how hard they're jerking off lawtwitter, when Lawtwitter is the first ones to get the knives in the back once things go downhill. Fuhrer Lemoine will be incompetent, the threadnought full of ignoramouses who encouraged the wrong behavior, etc. If only they had better lawyers, they'd have beaten Vic's obviously frivolous and wrong lawsuit!

Once the TCPA fails, I'd take 10 steps back from KickVic. They'd been hype on this career destroying tactic and so proud of its existence since they don't understand law. It's their hope that they are on the right side. When that fails, I'd avoid any discussion because you will be wrapped into volatile arguments. They set themselves up for this. Let them feel the burn.

Hm
If I may devil's advocate here for a second:
  • Nick gets sued for some stupid bullshit reason. (Doesn't have to make sense, just has to be plausable enough -- defamation, TI, theft of trade secrets, etc.)
  • Suddenly, Nick is a party to the greater legal action against KickVic.
  • This means that Nick discussing it on his show becomes problematic from an ethics and legal standpoint, if not a legal defense standpoint.
  • They might even demand a gag order or a protection order from a judge if they go the "he's leaking our TRADE SECRETS" angle.
  • Thus, they silence Nick, at least temporarily
Which is their goal. Shutting Nick up. Considering he spent last week completely destroying Ron, Funimation, and when he covers Sabat's Rape Dungeon he keeps at the Otakutron 5000 offices -- you can call it a casting couch if you want, I prefer "Rape Dungeon" -- on tonight's stream, well.

They're probably pretty damned desperate to get him to stop talking by now.

Them attempting to do so in a Federal Court would be interesting because IIRC Nick has said he hasn't taken the bar for Federal cases or ... somesuch. I don't fully understand and may be misremembering. But the takeaway I got is that a Federal Court would require he get an attorney, because Nick doesn't do federal cases.

In addition, by going federal, even if it's bullshit, they might avoid Nick's home state's Journalist Shield laws. At least temporarily -- They would no doubt try to push the case to be tried in Texas, Nick would push to have it in Minnesota, and as we've seen with Meyer vs Waid, jurisdiction games can take fucking forever.
Hmm, that's probably why they would try to go federal.

Has anyone saw this yet

.......................................The affidavits were scrapped for different ones. Well this just got more epic.

She's also an older woman, so it's unlikely.

We don't know what Sabat likes. Reminder, GILF catagories exist.

Anyway, doesn't need to be him either. Could've been another older Funi employee. She refuses, and the word gets down to Sabat to refuse her the role. Very unlikely theory, but still possible

THAT BALD HEADED HAT WEARING SON OF A BITCH! He gave us the shittest Va of gohan and kid goku because he wouldn't get his dicked sucked?! Fuck this guy and his gayatron 1000.

I agree, I preferred Stephanie over Colleen.

Don't know was DM to a bunch of people on twitter.

Smells fake. Also isn't Stephanie KV? Would make it very questionable why she would come up against Sabat if that were the case

Its not MoRon's. Ty boomered and notarized the affidavits. BIG NO-NO.

Wait, so there's an error? Is this bad for Vic's case?

The odd thing of nadonly being old is stupid because Sean and Sonny is older than her and she is only 2 or 3 years older than most of the cast from Z.

@Allanon was talking about Linda Young not Stephanie

Nick briefly went over this. Ty notarizing the affidavits means he could be called as a witness to testify. Not devastating, but not a good idea.
I'm guessing Ty did it to get it filed on time.

I see. So will the affidavits get scrapped as a result? Because I don't see them calling Ty to be a witness
