People have no idea how bad ideas guys tend to be.

To start it's the typical Zero technical skill at all. They do not want to help. But want to pile on more features and keep changing things every fucking hour.

But these fucks are like onions they have layers and different species and mutations

For example despite having no technical skills they're already self proclaimed experts. For example if you want to digitally light a scene they're going to tell you how to do your job and try to be philosophical about light. Like "light and darkness should represent life and death and there are 12 different types of deaths but only one light". Because these fucks don't know that digital lights do not function like real lights. They may also want to stop all work and go to some trip (at your expense) where they will lecture to you how light is REALLY supposed to work.

Secondly they really do not play games at all. It's too much of a time investment to finish a game for them. Maybe they've seen some movies and want games to be like movies.

If you're lucky enough to force one to do work it's going to take ages. They do not want to be taught since they're experts and will get annoyed and won't listen if you try and teach them. Instead what you'll get is a series of stupid "Eureka" moments where they attempt to think outside the box(which is impossible since they don't even know how to think inside the box to begin with).
An example, You have given St. Idea Guy The Third some work to help designing the spites. He will take one look at the unfamiliar program and just sit at his desk for hours and mostly just tap at his phone. He may get up to use the bathroom at some point and bump into a cardboard box. You'll hear some rummaging and some tearing and wonder WTF is going on, so you look and you'll see the retard on the floor making cardboard objects that vaguely look like people. He'll then proclaim " I HAVE DONE IT THIS BOX WAS THE ANSWER WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE ART STYLE TO RESEMBLE CHILDHOOD ARTS AND CRAFTS I'LL USE MY IPHONE AND TAKE A PICTURE OF MY CREATIONS THESE WILL BE OUR CHARACTERS!" and he'll brush his hands and pat himself on the back for a job well done.....despite doing nothing that was asked of him.

This happened because all these indie devs roll in the same incestuous circles, meaning if you fuck up within these circles, there is no where else to go for support and your chosen career is basically over. You're basically blacklisted from the industry if you are ostracized, and there is very little a person can do to get back into the industry because of how global and online the social circles are. You can't go to any conventions related to the indie dev scene because they are all the same people everywhere, so PAX and GDC are out. You can't move away because those scenes are concentrated in specific areas, and moving out means you will lose all your resources. The news outlets covering indie scene are basically part of the incestuous social circles and are friends with your dev friends and will cover your drama for clicks. Your entire world is basically dead. Look at ProJared for a recent example of exactly this.

Nothing about his described behavior screams sexual abuse, it reads of someone who desperately needed help and thought he had surrounded himself with people that could help him but simply weren't emotionally mature enough (or worse yet, being actually Machiavellian and in the end, proving him right) to do so. And in the end, Scott tries to asspat himself for throwing Alec under the bus and being so angrrrrr that becoming An Hero ruined his little pet project.

I slogged through Scott Benson's Medium post and wow, what a piece of shit, claiming Alec gave him PTSD because he didn't have the balls to have a serious discussion with Alec regarding their work.
