Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

So apparently, the rumor going around is that one of the people who've been in touch with Huber about all this is Stephanie Nadolny who played Kid Gohan from Saiyan Saga (the beginning of Z) to the end of Cell Saga as Teen Gohan, as well as Kid Goku, and Goku in GT. For anime, it lines up well, as she voiced Gohan and Kid/GT Goku up to 2009 at least in video games. To clarify something, Video Game dubbers usually don't get the same studios, etc. for dubbing the property that another one does. Your best bit of proof is with one of, if not, the WORST video game from Dragon Ball, GT Final Bout which has loads of.... not the usual people voicing these characters.

Okratron 5000 works on a lot of games, especially ones after 2009.

Wow she really made a career out of DB. She looks like Vic in the blonde, white, 50s, attractive sense. What exactly is the rumor suggesting? That she's been feeding a bunch of inside info to Chuck?

He doesn't need to show damages. Damages are assumed for defamation per se.
The possible issue of him being a public figure or a limited public figure, it would benefit him to show tangible damages. Might as well unload details now. Just a thought.

But what about electric sheep?

Yes.

Lemoine just seems like he's trying to be a dick

I’ve always wondered about lawyers like Lemoine that operate exclusively in perpetual raging asshole mode. Why? You throw away a substantial portion of your toolset when you insist on acting like a dick, and thus so reflecting on your clients at every turn. Why do it? How successful can you be long term? Why fight stupid petty meaningless battles that you cannot win, and only reflect poorly on you and your client? I understand putting stuff on the record for later appeal, but he seems to go well beyond that.

It’s pretty clear that Lemoine lines up with Ron’s desires in a Lawyer. I suspect Monica hates being in the same room with him.

Usually, voice acting, especially for games, happen right around the time the script is finalized. Considering this- they probably had her lines, repurposed some, etc. and couldn't be assed to voice them, or, they were voiced before the dubbing of Kai.She would still be under contract.

Lemoine sees no potential value in cooperaing with Ty, his job here is to make Ty's job as hard as possible, nothing more. He is trying to get this win at the TCPA and stick Ty with the bill for his services.

An interesting bit from the Stephanie page that was linked.

I wonder if they think gay pedo rape audio dramas performed entirely in character are innapropriate too.

I think Ty realized that notarizing them and making him a possible witness was just dumb. He can get them re-notarized by someone else at a later date. He doesn't need thme for the TCPA
I think it was probably intended to be temporary, like he had to get the papers before they could get them notarized or finalized by someone else and did it himself just in case something happened in the couple days.

I get that. But why do it in the obnoxious way that he does. Lemoine’s entire approach absolutely relies on a Judge, any Judges ability to separate their own human feelings regarding himself, from his case and clients. It’s idiotic and unnecessary. There is a difference between holding a hard and uncooperative line while advocating for your client, and being a complete and utter piece of shit to any and all. Look at Lemoine during depositions. Even his fellow defendants council found him repulsive. Why do this? As someone pointed out it reflects a complete lack of even caring to read the Judge. Does anyone wonder why his actual success rate at TCPA is nothing but losses?
