I know a lot await Zoe's downfall, but I don't think blaming her for Alex's suicide makes sense, he had enough issues on his own, and it wasn't merely Zoe he affected.
On other hand, this is still a great teaser of what awaits her, yet another abuser. They were birds of a feather and their fates won't differ.

Most super stable geniuses don't kill themselves on a friday evening, but I feel like the fact that he lost his job, his reputation, support from his friends and his family in a week affected him. And without Zoe going on social media saying "Alec 10 years ago was an abusive boyfriend" nothing of that would have happened.
I get that, it's just I don't get this attempt at trying to make him look like a sympathetic victim, ultimately he was little different from her, and I wouldn't show that much sympathy for her when she'll inevitably fall from grace, and will get trampled and condemned similarly.
